Ok... Let's begin: - Interview with the vampire, obviously, it's based on Anne Rice's book! The performances are great and the locations, teh FX arequite good for the timeit was released. - Blade saga is fun, but is not that good, teh FX are good, the music is good, but the whole storyline is not that good. - Bram Stoker's Dracula (The one with Keanu Reeves). I fon't hae to explain this one, do I? - Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. It's anime, but it's fuckin' great. The story is great, the animation is great, D is great. Right now I can't remember more, but as soon as I remember I'll post them

I don't really like vampire movies, mostly bescause of what Alouqua said, most of them suck big time! Still, there is ONE vampire movie that I love, the first one of the Blade trilogy. That movie is excellent IMO, specially that first scene of the party where he comes in and starts fighting and beating up all the vampires. I just love that movie, besides that I fell asleep in the first 5 minutes of interview with a vampire

Oh that's an easy one! The Fearless Vampire Killers a.k.a. Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are In My Neck. It's actually a parody of vampirism and vampire movies, so I do apologize if anyone feels this doesn't belong here, but The Fearless Vampire Killers is one heck of a movie by Roman Polanski. Very old school and a MUST SEE if you like vampire movies and hate how majority of them are done (I do like em too, but as said before, most of them suck ).

Hi! i forgot to say which is my fav. vampire movie.... I guess i haven't seen a really good vampire movie, one that take my breath away... but well i do have a few I like: First, Interview with the vampire, as Reinhardt said is a adaptation of Anne Rice's books, and even if is not good as the book I like the movie. In fact I saw the movie before i read the book so that makes me see the movie without expecting something. I like all actors preformances and I love beginning of the movie.... As everyone who have seen Vampire Hunter D, I love that movie too... But there is another one I like: Blood, the last vampire. Is the story of Saya, one "vampire hunter". The whole movie is full of blood and fight scenes, and is amazing! Now, please, don't kill me if I don't find 'Underword' really interesting, in fact the only think i like of this movie was the leather!

Bram's Stoker Dracula. It has GREAT set, costumes, atmospheres. It's well directed, good cast. And Gary Oldman is an incredible actor. From Dusk till Dawn by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantion. Great stuff. Has to be seen if you like vampires. The second and third from the series aren't great though. Underworld was allright. Nothing exceptionnal there but it did have all the elements required when you put werewolves and vampires together. The mood was right. Blood the Last Vampire, definetly a great animation movie. it's visually beatiful.

Haven't seen teh second though. But I like it a lot, specially for Kate Beckinsale But the whole storyline is not so great, but is a good way to mix both characters vamipres and werewolves (which I like too), and the FX is fuckin' great , just chaeck how the werewolves transform, damn, it's awesome.

I also love Underworld! Seriosuly, first of all: I totally prefer the modern way of killing with guns n stuff than to the usual bla bla my teeth are awesome let me kill you thingie. (Gosh, did I mention I am not at all keen on Interview With The Vampire; I thought the book was amazing, but I don't like the movie as much.... The skipped my favourite part of the book ) Second of all, it did have a great story, it was just represented in a bick ackward way, many people IMO didn't understand the movie, it's quite difficult to follow it, especially in the end. And it's a total waste to watch Evolution without previously watching the first pt. And yes, the FX is freaking amazing, awwww I so like monsters

My fav is Interview with a vampire. I never really thought of Blade as a vampire movie, shure, it was filled with'em, but it is more of an simple action movie. What I'm recommending is Lugosi Béla 's works. You know ofcourse, that he was the first movie vampire, but his movies have that 'innocent' touch, that you can't find in the nowadays movies from this genre.

When I think about it, almost every vampire movie sucks really hard! But the best ones are of course the old ones with Bela Lugosi.

I forgot one: "John Carpenter's Vampires". it's not that good, but is pretty enjoyable. Thomas Ian Griffith's performance is great, he's a great vampire.

It's hard to find a live action Vampire movie thats good, I find the best ones are the animated ones such as Vampire hunter D and Blood. Hellsing's is pretty good too. I guess because they are animed, the imagination is able to flow freely (...probably) By the way i have not seen one movie where the werewolves look half convincing, but thats just me.

"Nosferatu". The old silent movie. And the cool drama "Interview with the Vampire". The "Dracula" movies are also cool.

Woven Elegy: I agree 100% with you. May be is because they (the mangakas?) can make everything they want to do, so you can find the perfect faces, the stronger warriors... the sadness... the sexuality and the sensuality... the BLOOD... and the most amazing thing: you believe in them! I see a lot of people like (as me) Interview with the Vampire... I'm so glad... but that is not the best vampire movie ever... I can't find the perfect movie... What make a vampire movie, a good one?

By far my favorite vampire movie is "Vampire Journals." In fact, I'd say it is one of my top 3 favorite movies... ever. The music is divine, the settings are as vampire oriented as you can get, and (for me personally) the thoughts and feelings of the main character / narrator are just like my own. It doesn't have the big name stars in it like Bram Stoker's Dracula and Interview (which are also great movies ), but that is not a deterrent.

25.09.2006 - 02:50 Written by AnGina-- on 27.08.2006 at 21:59 I'm so glad someone mentioned this movie, because THIS ONE is just the best vampire movie ever made!! Roman Polanski is just one impossibly great director/actor, and it also has the appeaance of Sharon Tate (that's her name right?) who later became Polanski's wife and ah well, we all know the tragic story, but in this movie, she is just so impossibly beautiful my eyes start watering, and it is one of those weird comedies that are also scary haha I LOVE Polanski, and I LOVE this movie!!

i can't really think of any vampire movies at the moment .. but if you'll allow a parody then i would say that "Dracula: Dead and loving it" is a favourite of mine .. it is a parody of "Bram Stoker's Dracula" and i found it hillarious when i saw it (some time last year i think)

Nosferatu probably but I generally like the original german version. Tough to follow cause my German isn't amazing but it was really old which somehow made it a lot more ruthless(can't seem to get a better word) and more thrilling. Shadow of the Vampire was actually mildly interesting cause it was based on Nosferatu. Interview with the vampire was ok mainly because of the cast. The recent Swedish movie called Frostbitten is ok because the atmosphere is really good.

"The Last Man on Earth" The movie adaptation of "Legend", a disease spreads through the earth turning everyone but one scientist into vampires. This one scientist then tries to pointlessly continue his existence only living for the slim hope that he would find someone else who was still alive. in the end he finds a woman he suspect to be human but later learns that she is only a woman who has the vampire disease that has mutated, she belonged to a society of other people like her, and was only scouting the area the main character lived in, for how many vampires lived there (they were trying to eliminate the un-mutated vampires)
