"Faustian Echoes" is a single, two-part song based on Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's epic masterpiece Faust. Reaching over twenty minutes, "Faustian Echoes" is the longest song Agalloch have ever written.
Recorded mostly live at Portland's Jackpot Studio by Billy Anderson (Melvins, Sleep, Neurosis) and mixed by Anderson and later mastered by Justin Weis (Ludicra, Hammers Of Misfortune, Worm Ouroboros) at Trakworx.
MLP version have an etching of Delacroix's "Mephistopheles flying over Wittenberg" lithograph on Side B.

I, for one, hope they deepen the trail they followed on Marrow of the Spirit. Heavy or mellow, I'm not expecting anything groundbreaking in terms of style, just pure quality.

Usually the EPs signify a style change and offer different material from the band's full-lengths.
