Onslaught - New Album Update
Thrashers Onslaught have been recording their yet untitled sixth studio album and according to their latest update will now be mixing it with Thomas Plec Johansson (Tiamat, Scar Symmetry) at the Panic Room studios in Skara, Sweden commencing on July 7th. The successor to Sounds Of Violence is due for a worldwide release through AFM Records in September. This year also marks the band's 30th anniversary.
Guitarist Nige Rockett comments: "The original plan was to work with our friend Jacob Hansen who did such an amazing job on the last album Sounds Of Violence... But sometimes circumstances and outlooks change and we have now decided to take a totally fresh approach with this record to ensure that once again we create something that has its own unique identity from all previous releases. We spoke to several great producers about making this album and after a couple of conversations with 'Plec' and listening to his work, we could see how versatile he was and that we had very much the same vision to how the final mixes should sound. Continuity can be good for some bands, but we really dig the spark and energy that working with someone new can create! It's gonna be killer!"
