Good news for Pain Of Salvation fans in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. The band just confirmed a North American tour for September with special guests and proggers Vangough. Daniel Gildenlöw now seems recovered from the flesh eating bacteria infection that bothered him earlier this year. He returned with a performance at Sweden Rock festival, the first since the illness. The North American tour sees the band playing two very special shows in Atlanta, during the ProgPower USA festival, including a once-in-a-lifetime performance of the band's masterpiece Remedy Lane in its entirety.

Daniel comments: "It feels great to be back on stage. I couldn't recall the last time I felt so nervous before a gig, but it was pure magic to explode on stage with the others in the band after these hard months. I'm back. We're back, and we're coming with a vengeance to North America this September!"

Tour dates:

9/10 - Atlanta, GA - The Loft (Midweek Mayhem - ProgPower USA)
9/13 - Atlanta, GA - Center Stage (ProgPower USA)
9/14 - Springfield, VA - Empire
9/16 - Dunellen, NJ - Roxy and Dukes
9/17 - Cambridge, MA - Middle East
9/18 - New York, NY - The Marlin Room at Webster Hall
9/19 - Montreal, QC - Theatre Plaza
9/20 - Toronto ON - Coda

9/26 - Las Vegas, NV - Cheyenne Saloon
9/27 - Ramona, CA - Ramona Mainstage

I like that all the streptococcal infection did to Gildenlöw was 'bother' him a bit.

Of course he was in the hospital and it was serious but I didn't want to be overly dramatic. I guess it ended up sounding like the opposite of that. That wasn't the intention anyway

The show I went to during their last tour had, like, fifteen people in the audience. I'm surprised they're coming back.

I hope I can make it to the Whittier concert! I've been waiting forever to see them come to Southern California!
