"Transcendence" is not a big enough word to describe this album. Transcendence is the first true collaboration between Devin and the rest of the Project, featuring songwriting contributions from the stellar cast of musicians that has helped bring Devin's machinations to life over the course of several releases. Not only that, but Transcendence also returns Devin to his throne as a much more personal album than DTP's last few offerings and the strongest musical statement he has made in quite a few years.

That cover is so... Devin Townsend. I wouldn't expect anything else from him.

Overwatcher, MS Xena, crumbled him in no time. MS needs you to kill the boredom in here.

No, I don't think they have finished mastering yet.

You mean besides the fact he live streamed himself recording Stars?

I think so. Maybe not exactly like it was in the lives treat, but I reckon. They did a Periscope stream right before rehearsing one time and Stars was on their list, as well as 'nu' Truth. I couldn't really remember the other names.

Well, it's just Truth. But I'm assuming the same as Kingdom on Epicloud. A re-recording.

As far as I know, "Truth" hasn't been re-recorded...but I'd love to hear that!

Been really disappointed by Z2, Casualties, Epicloud, and Ghost. Guess I'm in the minority...definitely an all time favorite artist of mine but I haven't dug anything since Deconstruction really.

I do like maybe 2 songs on Z2 and 1 on Epicloud. But I feel you, I much prefer crazier and heavier Devin.

Devin has made one hell of a return with this album after slipping slightly with Z2, especially regarding the latter half. Listened to this maybe 15 times and still not sick of it.

Pretty damn good, which is quite unexpected as I didn't like whatever song it was I listened to prior to the release. Must have been one of the lesser ones.

Was also surprised to hear that song from his livestream.

I take back what I said about this album. Damn, it's immense. Just reminds me of his earlier offerings. Way to hit it out of the ball park, DT! Congrats dude! Glad you're putting out quality music once more!

I felt the same way but the band really put time into this release. Took me by surprise. Check it out

This is the best "heavy" since Synchestra. Feels more focused than the last few albums.

I am not a huge fan of this band. I think I listened to 'Ka' and thought it was alright. Right now I am in song two of Transcendence and it sounds dam good. Reviews say this is like his older stuff. What album sounds similar to this?
