Damn these guys stole my eardrums! Do you even know where Latvia is? Well I didn't until I found about this crazy Grindcore band that promised to deliver one hell of a demo with the most outrageous funk styled and crushing kind of grind. Those dudes kept their word and adorned it with a humorous tongue and a hot female ass in their booklet?
Ok it's not about the chick only, their music is somehow fresh; aren't you tired of those bands with prodigious sounds and clever songwriting? They are almost telling you "listen to my music and understand it, do not have fun with it because we are serious about this?music is not for fun! Check my half-hour guitar solo now" Trauma Moralis is giving us the exact opposite, fun music?yeah that's not gay you damn retarded, it's cool!
Ok I'll continue this review with a less vigorous approach. In the end this band is not the most brutal thing around, they are not the most complex and groundbreaking name in the scene, and they are not the most prodigious musicians at all?they just create a different style of Grind (that makes them at least original right?) with incredibly catchy riffs and funky patterns, similar to what Stickoxyal did in "The Perverted Position Of Interiors".
I give extra points to the brain of this project as he made me laugh loudly until milk was coming out of my nose when I read the "info" next to every song title, hilarious cuts indeed. This band is brand new actually, so they are forming a very solid plateau with this demo, they are surely heading for the cooler way when it comes to this genre, not caring about how sickening their lyrics are or how perfect the chord will sound, they just need to polish few things and they'll be ready to exploit their brains with a full-length for sure.
My recommendations to the band would be to develop their songwriting capabilities, the songs have a very interesting intro but a mild ending; they are adding Harmonica to Grindcore?dude that's awesome, keep bringing bizarre ideas don't stop there for the love of whatever. Musically they surely need to practice a lot, but I have no further complains, though I do think the vocalist sounds somehow lazy at times, while the music blasts its way through a song the vocalist just doesn't sounds as fast or as intense as the music, make your throat bleed man, that's usually a good advice.
So, I see in this demo a very promising band, they have what it takes and I just hope they don't stop here?songs about hippies is exactly what we need!
