Babymetal - Guitarist Passes Away

Babymetal have shared some sad news with their fans today. They have confirmed that their Kami Band guitarist, the backing group for the J-Pop outfit, Mikio Fujioka has tragically died very young at the age of 36. Fujioka was also a lecturer at a Japanese music school and published several guitar textbooks. Rest in peace...

The band posted a message online: "The 'Little' Guitar Kami of Babymetal's Kami Band has passed away in the metal galaxies. We hope that he is now with his guitar master Allan Holdsworth and enjoying an epic guitar session with him."

His wife announced his passing via his official Twitter account, claiming that he fell from a height on December 30th while at an observation deck and died on January 5th due to his injuries.

That's very sad. RIP. Even though I'm not a fan of Babymetal, the riffing is solid. A shame.
