I'm surprised you paid so much attention to this band.

Now do a Marillion marathon and make a Marillion list.

I would love to but I don't think it will happen in the near future. I'm so unfamiliar with most Hogarth-era albums, so it seems like a huge project to make a fair list of their albums. Maybe I could make one containing their 8 first albums + Marbles

My mistake, i thought since you listed Marillion as a favorite band, I thought you listened to their albums.
I love Marillion and I find it quite challenging if not impossible to create a most favorite to least favorite list.
Bands with great discographies are the most challenging to make lists for (Threshold, Rush, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Fates Warning to name a few).

I do consider them as one of my favourite bands but when I listen to them it's 80% of the time the Fish era, either the studio albums or the live albums/ bootlegs. The other times it's either Brave, Seaons's End, Marbles or Afraid of Sunlight. It really sucks I don't have better knowledge of rest of their albums

I will try make a Rush list soon, i'm very familiar with their entire discography so no need to listen to most of their albums mulitply times to create a nice list. Fates Warning would be fun to do, then I would have a good reason to check out some of their albums i've missed (No Exit and Inside Out comes to mind).

You need to listen to This Strange Engine (the epic title song is amazing), Anoraknophobia, a bit experimental for Marillion, but that's why I love it, Sounds That Can't Be Made (the epic Gaza is a must listen). FEAR from 2016 was a solid album as well.

I don't think Marillion released anything unlistenable.
Radiation, usually thought of as their weakest - Three Minute Boy, Born to Run and Cathedral Wall are great
marillion.com - has a couple of poppy, Beatle-esque songs, but a good album if you ask me.
Somewhere Else - title song and The Wound are must lsitens, definitely not a bad album.
Happiness Is the Road - double album, true, not as good as Marbles, but a lot of good songs on each one.

Thanks very much for the recommendations! I will do myself a favour and listen to some of these in the coming weeks, seems like a fun road to go down I love how there are always new music to discover
