Los Males Del Mundo - Descent Towards Death

"Eternal Circle of Vain Efforts" is such a tune. The combination of mid-paced hypnotic riffing with a constant blastbeat backdrop leaning in to soaring melodies will never not tickle my fancy.

At first I found in particular the first two tracks dull, it was only when the third track came that I truly felt it get going, but I have now warmed to the album as a whole, although I still believe the last three tracks are the best.

There's a dark sinister ambience, and the vocals are passionate with a real sense of despair, so they've certainly created an atmosphere that is gripping and haunting. I've heard better albums from this genre, but this is still an impressive effort. The main highlight for me was that surprisingly brilliant solo at the end of the Last track.
