Oh and note that from the scond part of my post I'm not talking about clubs anymore but nationals, and before USSR and czekoslovakia splitted, the french national was in the first international division but they dropped since so many good teams (well better than france anyway) came out of this.

To answer the original question, I ,for one, am hiding in Canada... Still a proud Frenchie though, lived there for 22 years before moving to California, then to Canada 2 years ago.

For the story, MS was brought back to life by the French MetalStormers in 2002. I saw that website kind of dead and contacted Ivan to see if I could take over with the help of my two fellow local friends Jeff and Collin, and voila! Since then, Ivan has come back to MS a lot, but we brought MS back to life indeed through hard work for the first year and a half.

Anyway! I am another 'expat', happy new year to all the French MetalStormers, wherever you are.

I saw in news that in Lion some groop try stop new year, thay was in maschs and looks like weirdos and main think thay try stop time and say 2008 wont come(even I agree, better its 2007 for eternity)

Are thay some OL hools or otherwierdos

@K7: There is a anti-new-year comity in France and I heard they're gaining popularity in other countries. They're funny weirdos, coming from everywhere (not only Lyon, and they have nothing in common with OL)

Update on my situation: I'm working a lot, thus I don't have much free time, plus I don't have a working Internet connection at home (I will within two weeks).

Argh, too bad I missed your post, and the gig too... Fortunately this should not happen anymore since I have access to the Internet at home now

As for my next concert, it should be this very weekend: Rosa Nocturna and Total Agony on the péniche Concorde Altantique (it's more or less gothic metal, but above all, it's ?5).

hey frenchie , did you listen the new Ultra Vomit's album ? i heard 2 song , that make me laugh , try on their myspace the songs "Je ne t'ai jamais autant aimé" and "Quand j'etais petit" it's less death than the other album , but still fun .

I'm not really fan of their work, but I listened their new songs ... and didn't really like them. But they could still fun for fans of this kind of music.

I haven't listened to their new songs yet, but if it's anything like the previous album, I'm certainly not going to like them. I just can't stand porn/funny grind bands, somehow. They always seem to be so concerned with making up funny/sick lyrics that they forget about making good music IMO

Yes, Gronibard, Cesspit, ... Bands with everything based on the quality of the song writing . Seriously, the topics of songs in this kind of music incessantly are the sames, turning around porn/silly sentences. But they have their fans, but certainly not me.

I didn't see any matches this week-end and no rugby games of course

Ah, I was about to add it to my "agenda" but then realized it was not in Paris (for once!).

A few of you might wonder why I am not online as much as I used to, well, this is because I'm working, and for a very cool company which concept you may like if you're into sports: you want to see a game, but don't have the right channel? or you don't have anymore beer in the fridge? Then go to www.allomatch.com and find the bar in which you will be able to spend a good time while watching a game and drinking with friends
It's working quite well in Paris, and some other cities like Bordeaux or Marseille.

So, we might see in a bar listed on allomatch for big games (like tomorrow's Lyon vs Manchester) on day
But I hope I will see some of you on Wednesday and Thursday, for I'll be attendingboth the Symphony X show and the Apocalyptica show!

I'm going to see Symphony X tonight in Lyon. The great thing is that I'm working right next door to the Transbordeur, which means I can get there directly after work and relax to some good metal instead of taking the subway back home. I've never seen SX before so I'm pretty excited
