I don't think I have actually posted the origin of my username here...

Lolita fashion has several sub-genres, and most of them are shortened from [Type] Lolita to [Type]loli. For example, Gothic Lolita becomes Gosuloli or Gothloli, Sweet Lolita is often called Amaloli (because "sweet" in Japanese is amai, the base of the word is ama), Wa Lolita -> Waloli, etc.
For a long time, some of my friends have been joking with me that I am Metal Lolita, so... Metaloli. (At first it was going to be Metalloli, but I think it looks better without the double-L.) ^_^

But what actually is the "lolita fashion" ?

Exceedingly girly. It's based on Victorian children's clothing, actually. A basic outfit would be a knee-length skirt/dress, blouse, knee socks or ruffled socks, and commonly they wear mary janes or some kind of shoe like that. The shoes are important though, they can't be pointy like trends lately have dictated - they must be rounded, and if you're not too tall they should be platforms or heels. But not thin heels, again like trends recently have been. Some of them also wear a headdress, or a bow, or a mini-top hat sometimes.

Another common element is the "hime cut" (hime - "hee-may") hairstyle. A "hime cut" is when you have fringe around eyebrow length, then sidelocks hanging about where your mouth is or at mid-cheek, the rest is long down the back. Unlike most layered cuts, the layers are separated.

Hime means princess. The hairstyle was popularized during the Heian Period (794 - 1185) in Japan, by noble women.

Yes I had an avatar with an Aston Martin DB9, but that has nothing to do with the name. It's just a beautiful car

Well, many can think that it comes frome the famous monster/creature/god whatever Dagon, but hell no, jeje I didn't knew of his existence when I created my name. Actually it comes if you join the words dragon, dragoon, and my name (Diego)... well I know it doesn't make any sense but for me it was created that way jaja, I created it when I was 15, and I always use it on the internet (Myspace, youtube, forums), videogames, and some comics I made in high school. The funny thing is that some people calls me Daggon in the real world jeje.
