I did reenactment long time ago now, but I'm more interested in medieval-fantasy and stuff, but still visit medieval festivals here and there. And nope, way smaller forum/site than GMA's ^^
I know at least two people registered there, though.

Hey everybody! I found something in Paris for the one who won't be at Hellfest!!!!!
It's a free concert taking place from 2pm to 2am at the corner of the rue des Boulangers and rue Monge, 75005
there are many bands, going from punk to death metal, trhough heavy metal and other great things

That's great! I won't be there of course but knowing such a concert can take place somewhere not far from where I work is definitely great

sorry for the double post but here comes the reviw:
I didn't really followed my programm, for the death and black concerts at Jussieu were SO good but also full of drunk dudes and being alone, it wasn't that a good place to be, but the music was just awesome (speed science and holy cross, then they went too drunk and I left)

et Monge, I went for the two first bands, they were really good, the singer of the second band (Syllia I think, but I'm not sure) was like Dio but young and taller, he was SO energic, funny, cool!

But the best was Niflheim, the moshpit, the growling "chalenge" between a tall viking looking dude with a Burzum Tshirt, an other barbarian dude with a Rammstein Tshirt and I... well, I just can't speak anymore ^^

So you didn't meet with Anton there? Too bad, but well, we have to set a meeting with MSers of Paris. I'm just not good at organising whatever it is...

awww i wasn't at paris finally , because a good friend who 'll go to the USA for 6 month do a "goodbye party" .

Any of you MSers who live in Paris going to the Killing Joke show(s) on September 26th and 27th? I plan on going to the second one, so any offer for a beer or more serious booze before, during or after the show will be considered

There's a couple of good cd shops (gothic / metal / alternative stuff) in the Vieux Lyon but I haven't been there in ages and I can't for the life of me remember their names. They may as well be closed now. I know there's another one around the Croix-Rousse but same shit, different place, I don't remember the name and the address lol. There may be other places but I haven't made a single metalhead friend in two years since I'm in Lyon so I have to get the info on the field and I'm a bit lazy I usually buy my cds on the web or at concerts.

About having a beer, well I love beer haha. I think I could find my way through any pub in the Vieux Lyon with my eyes closed So no problem about washing down a couple of pints!

Excellent! I'll have a walk around Vieux Lyon tomorrow and see if I can find any shops haha.
