Could Borgne havw a genre added.

Done, also added more info about the band, I.e Member, year of formation etc. Try to have that all or mostly complete before having a genre added.

Got 1 album, waiting for the new one to arrive from amazon. Was gonna put members in when I got that as the writing in the one I've got is a bit hard to read. The guy you've put there isn't listed anywhere in the album booklet for Entraves De LAme. Looked on MA once and the lineup there was completely different.

The band went on an "indefinite hiatus" briefly which the former FBC considered the same thing. If they need to be undone then just submit the changes for approval yourself. This thread is for stuff that cannot be submitted for change or directly fixed by regular users due to Perm restrictions.

Savatage - from the begining of their work they play heavy metal, later they start to play progressive heavy metal.

So, their styles are: 1978 - 2002 Heavy metal
1988 - 2002 Progressive metal

First 6 releases are pure heavy metal without any progressive thing in it.

Scorpions - they played hard rock from the begining but from 1979 to 1993 they also played a very good heavy metal

So, their styles should be like this: 1965 - Hard rock
1979 - 1993 Heavy metal

Danzig - they are also hard rock but also they deserv to have heavy metal style in their styles because they are so metal then other bands listed as heavy bands.

So their style should be: 1988 - Hard rock

The band is German but the style they play is considered Viking. If you are trying to imply that the band should not be called Viking because they are from Germany not Norway/Sweden then technically they should be called Teutonic but in the grand scheme of things there is no sub genre called Teutonic Metal, only Viking Metal. And their underlying themes and style is also of a folk sound which is why they are called Folk, but I won't deny they do employ an epic feel so it should probably be amended to Epic Folk but that will have to be decided upon by Staff.

Well I can't make the argument about the validity of Viking Metal because I don't fully understand it either but there was a thread somewhere where Staff members that are intimate with the genre explained it, I'll see if I can dig it up. And the Staff likes to use "real" genres as opposed to genres made up by the bands (otherwise Mnemic would be called Future Fusion metal instead of Industrial/Extreme Nu metal).

Honestly I didn't look at this picture before because I was on my phone but I'm on PC now and that image is like my Arch Enemy shirt that says "PURE FUCKING METAL" on the back, but that doesn't mean that their genre is "pure fucking metal" and no website is ever going to list "Pure Fucking metal" as their genre just because they printed that on a t-shirt.

I still believe though that they might should be amended to Epic Folk Metal, but then their second album is called Sagas which is are Old Norwegian/Icelandic tales of viking adventures and wars. I read through the english translations on that album and none of it makes indication that it's about viking or teutonic history/tales specifically but the fact that the title is Sagas would indicate it's most likely viking.

Could Jucifer get the Avantgarde on their genre list replaced with Alternative Rock (and extended to 98 onwards). Alt rock is at least 50% of their sound on most of their albums (save the last one, all sludge save the closing track) and there is nothing avant-garde about the albums that are listed as such .You could possably call the french-looking one (can't spell it) progressive, but not avant-garde. Sludge/alt metal/alt rock would sum up their sound nicely. Waiting for the 1st album to arrive from amazon, but I'm not expecting it to sound different to the next 2 albums.

Things I said here are based on thoughts of my friend, who told me, that Germans were not Vikings. But if it's possible to change viking on teutonic, it should be somehow fine. :-)
