Haha even I don't know what happened to me for so long. Great to be back though! Put a smile on my face to see K7 or Bad English or whatever he's going by these days still posting nonsense. Nice to know things haven't changed too much!

Oh yeah, things have been up and down. I have a cold at the moment so that isn't very fun.

Can some Australian tell me if Australia has winter or not ? If yes, which area of the country..?

Pretty much the bottom half I guess. If you go too far north it gets quite tropical.

Depends on what you'd call 'winter', I guess... I live in Brisbane, and winter temperatures here range from around 20 during the day and 10 at night, but that's positively balmy for some people. Where I used to live, in Toowoomba, it was maybe 15 during the day but would regularly drop to 0 at night, which is a bit more credible (although Europeans and North Americans will still laugh).

@Raiden: thanks. Do you remember once we talk that Australia got 40 C this or last year, is that referred to the north ?
@Judas: thanks. By the way I need recommendation for your country region that temperature that from 20 C to below more. Can consider Brisbane half below of the country ?

Don't quite remember, but we get dry hot days of over 40 where I am (North Central Victoria / South East Australia) in Summer.

If you like the cold then try Tasmania. It has regularly lower temperatures than most of Australia.

@WAR: Armidale region is cold in northern NSW, otherwise try Victoria, Tasmania or lower (inland) NSW. I think most places have a warm summer though.

@Judas: Hey man, nice to see you again. I'm not here a lot either though.

South of Canberra is a place called Jindabyne, get's good snow around there during the winter months.

EBay haha. When i used to buy heaps or Merch i used Nuclearblast as i liked many bands from that label. The kept sending a magazine in the mail but it is in German so i could only look at the pictures and goo "oooooohh i want that!"

Anyone going to the Astriaal album launch in Brisbane on Friday? I'm getting pretty keen.

Man, there's a lot of unofficial and unlicensed merch on eBay. I didn't think there would be this much (if any at all) as I figured it would be illegal to produce and sell unauthorized products. Looks like I was wrong about that.

I mostly get stuff from gigs these days. Otherwise it'll usually be somewhere that sells them physically (not that there are many of these stores anywhere, but on the occasion where I am near one...) I have gotten some t-shirts and the like from the Internet (only one from eBay!)

That's the good thing, yeah. You get a shirt and a piece of memorabilia. Depending on where you buy from it can be more expensive, but sometimes on par

There is actually a semi decent line up this year. I was going to go last year to see meshuggah, and isis and that, but then i saw that trivium and my chemical romance, and a bunch of other shitty bands and weighed up that it wasnt worth it.

Its kind of gay that where i live, the only "metal" band thats coming for the next thousand years is: parkway drive, and butterfly effect. Tamworth sucks.

The overwhelming number of crap bands always tips the scales for me and I end up not going. If it was a handful of bands I enjoyed, then it would be worth it but there's so much crap in there.

Yeah I was uming and ahhing but Iron Maiden does sound pretty attractive. There are a few additional bands I wouldn't mind seeing (even if some are just ones that I used to like when I was a lot younger). You're right though when you said there is a lot of crap in there too.

Hopefully a few more metal bands will be announced. I think last year Anthrax were a late arrival to the band list (why did they not do a side-tour?!) so if some like that come along it could get better.

Iron Maiden have announced sideshows, only for Sydney and Melbourne though.
