So, what is it? I just saw a horrible one last noght, I almost throw up, it was that bad. The actress in the lead role was ugly as hell, and the whole thing was like a big puddle of mud. BTW the title was Call Girl

I know it's a cliché but, Twilight... Dear god, awful. Everytime that Pattinson came on the screen the girls with whom I went to the cinema and who won the contest between us (2) guys to see Twilight, were glaring and screaming at the screen... I don't have to tell you the plot 'cause literally everyone knows about it.

For me to consider a movie to be really bad, it has to be one that I've heard a lot of good things about before I see it. I expected Plan 9 from Outer Space to be bad, or some schlocky looking horror movie, etc. They are supposed to be bad.

The worst movie I have seen is The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. I usually enjoy quirky/weird/strange films immensely. This movie simply felt contrived. It was dull and disjointed. The visuals fell very short of expectation (watched it on Blu-ray). It completely failed on any level to lead me into a suspension of disbelief. Two hours of my life I want back.

I guess the most boring movie I have ever seen was Buttcrack. An example of a Troma production that went wrong. The film has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, despite the relatively promising plot (a buttcrack that turns people who see it into zombies). What's more the ending includes the retelling of the whole story. I actually love some of the Troma films (Toxic Avenger, Tromeo and Juliet etc.) but this was simply awful.

These are very wise choices for worst movie. o/

But to me... a movie that made me pissed off and bored at the same time was ''Hart's War''... that one with Bruce Willis.
Seriously, I can't stand WorldWar II movies anymore... for god's sake.. wonder if there is some relevant story about concentration camps, nazis or American heroism left to tell...

Not to mention the Garfield movie, War Of The Worlds... and of course, Garfield 2.

With the neverending war on terrorism we can expect to see a shitload of American Heroism Movies. It seems weird but if you dress up murders in a pretty little package the population will go with it...makes me wanna puke.

Most of the movies you guys named are not near the definition of worst (expect Twilight)

But here's an abomination of a movie, Hairspray!

Hope you never have to watch it for as long as you live and breathe. I was forced to watch it in HS, we watched it during our English class (cool movies are off limits, like we're fucking kids or something). Anyway, you can guess the quality of the movie where John Travolta plays an obese wife of Christopher Walken (usually both great actors, but nothing can save that movie), and the main plot revolves around your typical girl doing....or trying to be...shit, I forgot already, thank goodness. But it's just your typical gross family-friendly cliche movie, only this one is hideous, at least I could stomach the Highschool Musical

Monsturd is, without a doubt, the worst movie of all time. If you can make it through more than 10 min. you have issues. There are movies made by high schoolers that are better than that.

Well...maybe it's not the worst movie ever but the new Robin Hood is definitely pretty bad. I wasted money and two and a half hours of my life on that. It's one of the most boring movies I've seen.

Just proves that good marketing and flashy effects can sell anything.

I mean, did we really need a new Robin Hood? No way on Earth I'll watch it.

Probably 'Hostel'. Everything Eli Roth touches tends to turn to shit but that film was particularly self indulgent. The first half of the film is completely pointless and then it morphs into a dire torture-porn flick. I even appreciate the first two Saw films but Hostel was beyond pants. God only knows what the sequel was like.

I actually quite enjoyed Hostel. But what pissed me off was the scene in Amsterdam. That clearly was NOT Amsterdam.
Haven't seen the sequel though.

War Of The Worlds...

Seriously?! I actually really like both versions, the first did have hammy acting and the new one had an iffy ending, failed at trying to recreate the scene where the aliens explore the house and it does have Tom Cruise in BUT that aside I thought it was pretty damned good for an Hollywood sci-fi.

Eraserhead by David Lynch, still don't know what it's about.

A friend once took me to see Inland Empire by David Lynch, it made no sense at all, just some random images during 3 AND A HALF HOURS, it's certainly the worst movie i've ever seen. And from the look of the audience (the little few that stayed until the end), they must have thought the same.

Heh, Inland Empire is one of my all time favourite films: Pure abstract genius. I don't pretend to understand what it's about (even Lynch himself said he wasn't sure) but it's the kind of film I wish he'd make more of, the kind of film that's open to interpretation that you can get swept away in. I find some of his films more terrifying than most films that purport to be horrors. Eraserhead is my other fave Lynch film, probably the most emotionally oppressive film I've seen, even if the cornflake faced girl under the radiator was laughably ridiculous.

Eraserhead's lady of the radiator is probably the best visual part of the whole movie ! (how she steps on the spermatozoids and everything..)

Anyway, has any of you seen Valhalla Rising ? Because it was the longuest 1h30 I have ever seen in my life. I hated this movie.

You're definitely right because all the scenes that the advertisements presented were either the battle scenes at the beginning or end of the movie. The rest of the movie was pretty much talking with no actual plot. It basically tells HOW he became Robin Hood, so there are no actual "Merry Men" until the last five minutes of the movie.

And you're also correct that we don't really need a new Robin Hood. I'll stick to my Disney version from now on.

Got Mayhem?
The other day I tried to watch Inglorious Basterds with some friends. We all fell asleep pretty fast. The beginning was just straight up dialogue for what felt like forever that did little to keep us interested. There is a pretty good chance it gets better further on but what's the point if you can't stay awake for the first half hour or so?

Also, all the Resident Evil movies. The games are amazing, with one of the best storylines in video game history. The movies continue to slaughter the RE legacy with every new release. It seriously hurts me to watch one of those things.

Outside of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction QT's films are overblown wankery. The guy cannot write dialogue for toffee, he insist on making every character, every line of dialogue significant and profound. Most arrogant.

The first Resident Evil film was reasonable at best, the second was nothing but blue-tinged (like Underworld) arse.

The Third one made even less sense than the second and the fourth one which is supposedly coming out soon looks like The Matrix. Except crappier. Quite possibly the worst translation of Game to Film ever.

Yeah I opted not to watch the third one after 2 given what I heard about it. The trailers made it look good though but then that's the case with a lot of films.

The Silent Hill film is weird one, as a film it's really quite terrible but it's probably one of the best fan services I've ever seen (beaten only by Advent Children, another example of a poor film but amazing if you played the game).
