Well, if you can read the threa title, you know what this is about. I'm just sitting here watching 'Along Came Polly' and I thought about making this harmless thread. Not much to explain.

Philip Seymour Hoffman - I love his versatility as an actor. He can pull off the funny rolls like when he played Sandy Lyle in 'Along Came Polly', I love the sharted scene and the clearing his throat scene and especially the basketball scene (Rain drop, old school, WHITE CHOCOLATE.) I also like him in 'The Big Lebowski' and 'Twister.' Of course, what he is known for most are his powerful performances. Of course we all know he won Best Actor for 'Capote.' He also did a wonderufl job in 'Love Liza'; '25th Hour'; 'Magnolia'; and 'Red Dragon.' A great actor.

Brian Cox - In my opinion, Brian Cox is the man. Every movie he's in is great because of him, basically. I loved his roles in 'X2'; 'Troy'; 'Super Troopers'; 'Manhunter'; and I really enjoyed his rendition of Hermann Göring in the tv series 'Nuremburg.'

Edward Norton - Of course, another favorite. What can be said? 'Red Dragon'; 'Fight Club'; '25th Hour'; and my personal favorite 'American History X'.

Those are just three among many. Arnold, Chris Lee, Mel Gibson, Jeff Bridges, Ian McKellen, Jack Nicholson. I could go on, but you get the picture.

Well, since the last really awesome movie I saw was Pirates of the Caribbean, I must say again that Johnny Depp has proven again just how awesome and versatile actor he is. He just makes every character he plays so full, showing great psychological and behavioristic characteristics of it. I especially loved him in Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow and of course Pirates.

Ian McKellen. He just gives shivers down my spine. I dunno why, but there always seems to be something cold and mysterious about the characters he plays. And his voice is just so calm, soothing and hypnotizing.

Sean Connery. IMO a legend. Loved him back when he was James Bond and love him now. Is it just me of is every character he plays just simply koel?

hmm...i never asked myself this question before because i'm not that much into movies, talking or knowing about actor's life and stuff like that...i actually don't recognize much of the actors for their name, tell me characters and i'll give my opinion he...anyway, if i had to pick, i'd say keanu reeves...

Kevin Spacey is my favourite actor, he's always great. Especially in American Beauty and The Usual Suspects.

@vårÐå: C'mon, Keanu Reeves??!! If there is an "worst actors" thread I will mention him. No one is so boring (ok, maybe Ben Affleck), Reeves plays all his part the same in a confused weird, loud talking way. I hate him.

Christopher Walken (not sure if I spelt that correctly) is my favourite, because of how serious and believable he can be in all his roles, unlike some of today's actors, eg. Owen Wilson, Brad Pitt, Jamie Foxx etc.

I also thnk that Johnny Depp (not sure again) is quite a good actor in all his roles, especially in Pirates Of The Carribean (havn't seen Pirates Of The Carribean 2 yet, I will eventually see it though ).

@PRIMAL FEAR: That's right, Cristopher Walken is amazing! And he has this really cold look IMO.... I remember him play that guy that I always forget his name in James Bond. I was amazed by him, his cold laughter and deep look just gave me shivers down my spine.

And yea, Keanu Reeves generally sucks. He always has the same experssion on his face and uses the same tone of voice, but nonetheless he was just great in The Matrix, that's the only role of him I believe he was brilliant (obvisouly the character of Neo suited his way of acting ) and besides, he's hot and so sometimes he's forgiven for sucking at acting

Well, this might be a cliché but Johnny Depp. He is just so good at playing different roles. I like him especially in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Another actor I like is Gael Garcia Bernal. He´s not only good looking, but also a good actor. I like the way he chooses the movies he plays in. No matter how much money he would get, he won´t do the movie if he doesn´t like the script. That´s probably one reason why he never does any big budget Hollywood movies.

...eeeh i actually like the way he looks in most of the movies...in most of the movies i've seen he has that characteristical expression, cold, sarcastic...don't know i like that...on a 2nd thought, i'd place him after ewan mcgregor, i totally forgot about him...he's got my fav actor vote...

Most favorite is Christian Bale, hands down. I first noticed his excellent acting in Equilibrium, but since then his roles in The Machinist, American Psycho and Batman Begins have convinced me in his absolute genius.

Honorable mentions:
Johnny Depp (popular choice, but he's too good to skip him)
Viggo Mortensen (mainly because of LotR and Hidalgo)
Clint Eastwood (the best badass in cinema history)
Val Kilmer (don't really know why)
John Cleese (just remembering his absolutely serious face makes me smile)

Hyah, I dont see her as so attractive, her lips are enormous they fill up the whole screen! Does anyone ever remember the original model for tomb raider before it became a movie ( when trII came out ) now she was hot!

My classic favorites are al pacino, de niro, jamie foxx, and that guy from american history x.

@Indian steel,
Natalie Portman came to study in Israel at the national uni, a few of my co workers had the oppurtunity to meet her, apparently shes pretty short.
