There is to be a new festival located just outside of Oslo called Metal Merchants Festival, there is a myspace page listing the line-up (Artillery and Warning to name two) at current and it will be updated, the address for that is: http://www.myspace.com/metalmerchantsfestival

Hey everybody! Me and a couple of friends are going to Norway during the summer holidays. We plan on driving to Denmark, then taking the pond (+ car) to Bergen from there. Then we're going to travel around for about 8 or 9 days, trying to see some nature and fjords and everything, then go take the pond from Stavenger back to Hirsthals (north of Denmark). Any tips, suggestions, do's and don'ts? What's good beer, what must I see, what must I avoid? Any piece of information would be greatly appreciated!

Lucas when exatly you go? You can go to Nord enjoy midnight sun(if its no cloths on sky) even there are its still wounderfull time when its like day in night time . Realy amazing Best time june-july , in end of july its getting darker and in mid august you wont see it To do it you need cross polar circle, but even 300-400km south from it its beautifull nights even you cant see sun , but its light like in day

Not at all. I personally speak Bokmål and can assure you it's way more used than Nynorsk. Nynorsk is the second official language in Norway but the other one is more popular. So basically, Nynorsk is only spoken in some parts of the country.
