Hey u guys.....its been a while since I last logged into MS but here I am now.............does anybody know If there are any upcoming gigs for good bands in Syria or the areas around it pls HELP me I'm bored as hell and I need to see sum METAL

@imPERiAL_iCE There is an Iron Maiden Tribute Night at Cherry's, Antelias (Northern Beirut). The bands performing are: Communion, Metamorphism, and Zarscene. Entrance: 5000L.L. which is around 3$ only.
So if anyone wants to join us contact me before Friday.

Actually, from what i heard several band members are abroad in Europe probably. Still i'm not sure about their real status. By the way i'm definitely going to attend the Iron Maiden Tribute gig. You surely are missing something over there

I kinda had a hunch since their website was seriously outdated, bummer!
Last visit was in Jan of 98! so it has been sometime since I have been there. Heard that it had changed a lot, but I really would not know since we stay at Shanai (sp?) vs Beirut.

Hell yeah Beirut specially Down Town looks exactly like the modern Cities of Europe. The metal Scene has improved dramatically over here. I attended the Iron Maiden Tribute night yesterday it was a great gig!
There are plans for a Rock Fest will keep you updated once we confirm it. So tell me in Kuwait do you attend any concerts or metal is banned there?
@imPerial Ice The vocalist of Hourglass the band from Syria is also playing with Communion who was performing yesterday. So how's everything in Syria, any upcoming gigs to attend!

Actually we are talking about the Lebanese Band Shepherd of Sheol.

The metal scene here... hmmmm,, for my point of view it does not exist!
There are some bands (tribute ones) but they're all nu-metal!

There was a concert in the summer, I think it was more of a Rock vs. Metal... but anyways I did not go,, mostly teenagers went thinking it was rebellious or smth (I had half a mind of going until an intern at our company (more of a summer intern her dad is a manager of another department, she is 14 or 15) mentioned she is going so that settled it for me!))

So basically it really sucks here, metal wise and among other things as well!

thats exactly why I don't go to a lot of gigs in here coz Metal has become some sort of fashion that all the little kids are following......it is losing its meaning

The metal scene in Lebanon has improved dramatically. More concerts, bigger audience. Stupid people will always exist, but what matters is that many Quality bands are being formed. One Day Metal Storm will hopefully contain several of those bands.

Yes of course i'm in contact with most of the bands over here, so just tell me which albums you'd like to buy and we will work it out.

the problem is I have no idea about any band in Lebanon, only maybe Kaoteon so if u could give me a place to know the bands first I could choose something

There will be soon an index for lebanese metal bands, a friend of mine is building it. Meanwhile, i would recommend for you Oath to Vanquish, Kimaera. Both bands have impressive releaes!

Do big bands come down to Lebanon??? I live in UAE, am an Indian, and I really don't have the moolah to go over to Germany for the WOA, etc, etc... but if some shit breaks loose in Lebanon [like the 2006 DubaiDesertRock {TESTAMENT!!!!!!!!!!}], then I would definitely like to get to see.

Last Year we had MacBeth and Apocalyptica. Lake of Tears was cancelled because of the war which was the main reason behind it. This year we might have a big event, i will announce it later when it's confirmed. You can always check out the local bands almost weekly events

Yeah please keep us updated with the big events, I NEED SOME METAL

anyways dude, the concert went on, [I read that] Lebanese bands freaked the audiance up!! Rosewell & Blood Ink .. also the Jordanina bands did well also ..
