I dont live in Spain but I was born in Madrid, lived in Alcala for a while, then moved here to the states ever since. I go back to Madrid one month each year to visit family. But yea, ill be popping up in this thread once in a while.

That's not true, you just have to follow Spanish league to realise what you're saying is false. Referees are always wrong and no matter who's playing. I think they don't "attack" Barcelona at all for being catalans. In fact, they have important people working for the Federation and Barça is the second greatest club in Spain.

Another thing: did you see the match between Racing and Real?? I think Real wasn't allowed to win unfairly.

I visited Granada two years ago....it's a nice town....some pretty landscape and scenery....I'll return one day for sure to have some more sangria and ale as well.....if I get any money of course....but I must admit I like Barcelona more....sorry...it's Catalonia....

French language....is indeed latin....but it's the mix of Latin and Gallo-Romace/Iberian languages, which are CELTIC.....there aren't much left of the celtic origin in modern French any more perhaps except some language and grammar characteristics i.e. cette femme-ci/an bhean-seo(this woman here)....

NEVER....tell me that French is a mix of Latin and German....GERMAN...I HATE GERMAN!!! your statement is shallow and stupid...

However, I don't deny that francs were indeed germanic peoples and they did speak germanic language and they did influence the language of the Gauls....Gauls are CELTS....not Germans....Gauls were living there centuries before Germans came there...and already ages before had the Gauls started to speak Latin instead of their own ancient language....however, they gave some notable characteristics to this new Gaulish form of Latin....

and yes...Franc Empire was there indeed....this was it.....and Aachen is in Germany...near Belgium and Holland....these regions use Germanic languages even nowadays....but French is still separate....of course...some loanwords etc....but never call French a germanic language ever again....

Spanish...same thing....also Celtic influences as there were Iberians and Celts living in Spain during the Roman era....they accepted Latin soon as their first language....standard Spanish was also influenced by Arabic because the moors ruled a huge part of the country for a long time....do you want to say now that Spanish is a mix of Latin and Arabic?! I hate Arabic as well btw ; )

now....some things I've noticed....simple words...how languages share them....

"dog"....chien(français)/can(galego)/cão(portugues)/cú(gáidhlig)...Celts are awesome....

Cú Chuláinn...the Hound of Culann.....

at the same time it's "dog/hound" in English and "hund" in German.....

Real this year seem to receive the violence from the rivals and the yellow and ted cards from the refs. But if you compare Real with Betis or Osasuna, yeh, they are favoured. But it's not true that Barça has been always treated unfair just because they are catalans, that's really ridiculous.

Osasuna hails from Pamplona, the capital town of Navarra and the most well-known Spanish town in the world thanks to that primitive and horrible tradition called the Sanfermines. By the way, Osasuna means "health" in Basque.

Gimnástico, Gimnàstic or just "Nàstic" is the local Tarragona team, a beautiful Roman city in South Catalonia.

- Vidres a la Sang: Imagine Hypocrisy came from Terrassa. Vidres a la Sang is a Death Metal band with Catalan lyrics. You may check some songs from their last album Endins on their Myspace page.

- Overlife is a Fates Warning-like Prog Metal band hailing from Alicante. They have released three albums including their latest El Despertar (i.e. "The Awakening" for those who don't understand Spanish), which I consider one of the greatest surprises of 2007.

- Nahemah, also from Alicante, is one of those bands you want to keep an eye on. They play Progressive Melodeath like Opeth and are almost as talented as them. According to their label, Victory Records, NAHEMAH combine the melancholic overtones ala OPETH with the swedish metal sounds of DARK TRANQUILLITY and the orchestral sections/ melodic rock essence of MOGWAI to bring an amazing musical outing worthy the world's attention!
