Mainly because neither of the first two games were released in Europe. Upon learning of the series, I tried to get hold of the games, without any success... lol

Last game console I had. I remember wasting a whole summer on Goldeneye with some friends, probably one of the video games I played the most.

14.02.2012 - 23:43 Written by Edmund Fogg on 14.02.2012 at 23:00 The fact is that I never cared at all for James Bond or even FPS but this particular game and its mutiplayer mode really obsessed me for a while. Nowadays when friends try to get me into one of those ubercool modern FPS I can't help making comparisons with Goldeneye, and in the end I think it will always remain my favourite of the genre. Never played the WII version though, might like to try sometime.

One of my first experiences with games. The castlevania, well... I still like this one even more than the new ones. Maybe I am too nostalgic...

Rare made some of the best games EVER! N64 was one of my favorite game consoles ever. I loved wasting hours on it, only SNES took more time out of my childhood I think. But N64 games that I loved were: Super Smash Bros. (My all Time FAVE game!) Goldeneye Bomber Man Chopper Attack 64 Ocarina of Time

I adored the N64 back when I was a kid. Two of my favorite games were Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. Personally, I like Banjo-Tooie more. The worlds are much more expansive and there's more stuff to do. Also, Goldeneye was the game that introduced me to the world of first-person shooters. It's seriously one of the greatest games of all time.

I think for story games I preffered the Playstation but nothing comes close to the N64 multiplayer. Mario Kart 64 was better than the original (and I'm usually old school when it comes to things like this, although I suppose now, any N64 game would be considered old school) and for me the best multiplayer game ever. It was so simple yet so addictive. Goldeneye comes a close second and The World is Not Enough was damn good too. The N64 controller was superior to the playstation one at the time. The analogue stick was so much more precise and the trigger was an awesome touch. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned worn out analogue sticks yet actually, thinking about it makes me feel quite nostalgic, me and friends went through quite a few control pads. I always preferred the SNES to the Mega Drive too. It's a shame Nintendo went downhill after the N64. I can't think of a Gamecube game that I liked apart from Rogue Squadron 2 and the Wii is just a gimmick, a novelty that wears off pretty quickly.

Account deleted Written by [user id=2943] on 16.07.2012 at 20:17 I was utterly perplexed by the shape of the N64 controller. Was it designed for an octopus child or something? However, I do remember back when I played the original Mario Party, they had mini-games that required you to rotate the analog stick. Your thumb would get worn out pretty quickly, so you had to use your palm, and that would end up giving you nasty blisters. I wasn't the only one. A whole bunch of parents complained that these mini-games gave their children blisters on their hands. When Mario Party 2 came out, they stopped adding mini-games that required you to rotate the analog stick. As for the Gamecube, I really liked Pikmin, and I sunk so many hours into Animal Crossing I lost count. As for the Wii, my favorite game will always be Super Smash Bros. Brawl. However, I play that with the Gamecube controller. I hate using the Wiimote.

The N64 controller was pretty horrible in retrospect. Kudos for introducing the analogue stick to the world in a big way but it was really poorly designed; too long and difficult to be precise with which means you had to move the stick a long way to do smaller things and when added to the fact it had virtually no grip on the top meant your thumb would slip off pretty easily, not to mention the fact it lost its smoothness and became all sand-like after not long. I went through a bunch of N64 controllers because the stick became knackered. The PS1 analogue was far superior on every level.

And if you're playing a game like Super Mario 64 with changing camera angles, it really fucks with your jumping accuracy.
