I love the idea of the new duals, however, I wish they had reprinted all the colour combos, rather than just the allied colours.

i own an enchantment highlander its very slow but if im coming im coming huuuuge^^
if you play highlander you play it with more than 3 people and you gonna do it all night long even if you dont want to its my favorite type of playing magic

also a pretty fast zombie deck (is even fast enough to kill fucking goblins^^)
a cleric deck (nothing special) and a combu deck with eternal witness and astral slide you know that combu dont you??


ps: if someone owns a black lotus and dont want it anymore i would buy it for some money

Yes, I do play Highlander and my area also has a points list, to restrict the power level of decks overall, so people don't go playing crazy decks using all of the Power 9, etc.

I'm also aware of slide.dec, I play a BW Slide deck for Extended (Type 1.x) myself, it works quite nicely in my meta...

BTW, you'd be lucky to find anyone around here with any of the Power 9, let alone Black Lotus

I'll assume you're after an Unlimited Black Lotus, since Alpha and Beta Loti (?) aren't that easy to get ahold of.

I recommend you try Ebay or a place like www.mtgsalvation.com, you're bound to find one there at some point.

Haha, it's ok, I have a friend who has all the power 9 by the way I think 7 out of 9 are Beta versions, too, including the lotus, no joke!

For Highlander, I currently play a Blue/White (UW) control deck as well as a Mono-black Zombies deck, which is more a combination of control, combo and aggro mixed into one deck, hence it's hard to find a weakness to

I hear that they only play 100 card Decks in Highlander in Germany, however, the rules for deck construction over here only require the usual 60 card Decks, making it easier to build/afford

what just 60 cards?? a serious highlander needs 100-300 cards in it otherwise there is no fun to play it^^

We have organised events, so we like to keep things easier for deck construction.

Agreed, more variety makes it more interesting though

Okay let me jus start by saying "Woot for all the chicks playin Magic" that being said i now realize that i am the only chick here lol. been playin since i was 13, my older cousin got me into it and ive kicked his butt at it ever since. lol

I made my own deck long time ago (white/green), but my friends stop playing magic long time ago, so i stop playing too. My favorites cards from my deck are "Blazing Archon" (a flying creature, which is very good because besides having 5/6 it has a quality that is: "Creatures can't attack you"). "Autochthon Wurm" [it has convoke and trample, which imo are good qualities in a powerful creature (9/14)]. "Scion of the Wild" is good too because his power his equal to the number of creatures that i control and i have many cards that create Saprolings, "Wurmweaver Coil" that is a powerful enchantment. "Hold The Line" and "Oyobi, Who Split The Heavens" are good too.

Yep I had goblin deck too, I usually won when I played casual games against friends. One downside of it was, that you couldn't gain life and had no big creatures, but then again, who need them if you can overrun and kill your opponent?

hahaha, yes I remember terror - doesn't work on black cards or artefacts if I remember correctly..

I didn't look for the cards, they are in a really awkward place so I just didn't bother. haha

There is no f*cking way! Hehehe.. Thought I'd never stumble upon this topic, good thing I did! Magic: The Gathering, oh yeah! It's my favorite trading card game of all-time. I've been playing this since it started in the early 90s. I have several decks, mostly mono colors, black, and red. My favorite deck would have to be the fast and aggressive suicide black deck, and the burn red deck. I'm not in MTG nowadays. My cards are all banned right now, so i only use it during casual plays with friends. Favorite cards would include Black Knight, Hypnotic Specter, Juzam Djinn, Unholy Strength, Vampiric Tutor, etc.. I love cards that speeds up a black aggressive deck..

oh how i love to play humility with privilege position, its always like hehe creatures cant do nothing bitch and you cant do anything against it except akromas vengeance...but well...counter!!!!^^

I'm going to be playing some MTG tomorrow night with my sister and her boyfriend while getting drunk so it should be an interesting night...drunken MTG is fun...her bf was stinking drunk while we were playing MTG (yeah yeah, what the hell are you doing playing Magic of all things when drinking) and forgot to put in land and was getting all pissed off haha it was really funny...

The darkest card game of them all...it's been a while since of played but we used to get a group together and play cards and speaking of making magic "special" we used to toke up and play. It makes you feel like you are the cards that you play(ex.a knight,ghoul,elf,etc.) and made the game all the more intense . Good times....and not to mention there's alot of card names that are good to use as song names such as "Raise Dead" or "Unsummon" it just seems like a good source for inspiration.

Wow, no ones been in here for months....

I play quite a bit now, its unbelievably addicting, especially since I now work at a store that sells the stuff. We have editions dating back about 2 years, and I get info on upcoming releases. For example, the next line (coming out in July) is called Eventide.

MtG played rather a big role during my teenage years. I used to play it often with my friends. I had a black, zombie-themed deck, while one of my friends had also a black deck, but focused on life draining and creature destroying spells, while another one kept shifting between red decks, white decks, white and red decks and eventually ended up with a green/white one. It was very fun, but it soon became a little too expensive of a hobby to keep up.
