Since most of us lives in a EU/Schengen and most of us are part of NATO and use Euro as currency, it will be interesting to see what ppl think of.

Are you happy that your country are in those organizations, yes and why, no and why,

My origin country
Of course I am so happy be in EU, NATO and use Euro as currency , its like holy trinity IMO , I see Europe as one, one space, not something devidet
Most of my origin country WP and nationalistic idiots wants out of all 3, but we all know who sponsors them

EU is biggest advantage ever, free travel , living, no borders, visa, travels, buying online and so on

Euro also is , because I was pissed like 3 years ago change to lats, euro, kroner, not etlast its enough one change. Smart ppl wont want back national currency as before, but to not let Greeks fuck up, Brussels needs control more. We will see what happens whit Greece if they will use Draxma, China or Russia wont help, only what can help greeks continue swim is EU. That's why ne wgovemennt talked shit before elections and don't pratuce what they preach. They know, and street folks, give them football they wont care. And don't give me shit all was expensive, it wasn't more incomes (even its same, buts till basically it is same )

NATO biggest thing what happened, and no matter what EU country non can survive alone and even all Europe whit out uncle sam

My current location:
EU same of curse
Euro, I want but I don't know, I don't want pay Medeterania shit , but I wont protest if it happens
NATO - Yes I want

Anyway those 3 things is best what happened to Europe in long time and I don't think anything can be batter

Something to piss EU skeptics
EC 2020 .. EO don't exist, ultras riot cunts, fans, want travel , they need apply for visas, each country different pay for it , chabge money each country own, border service, costumes, fuck ups, dallies ... anybody wants it please ,, but before metal event and football games, no EU wacken be shithole only German bands, Americans has Schengen visa, otherwise tour be mess event week 1 gig not every day as now

So how about you?

I'm okay with Croatia being in EU. We're far too small and insignificant on our own to make any kind of difference. NATO just comes with the package. While I'm no fan of NATO, I suppose it's better to be US's bitch than Russia/China's.

EU is good, and I agree about being bitch , but China has small interests in Europe, Rus and Ser, it means immediately hate whit Cro because someone says you must have

Whole post comies states, whit out Yugo are fucked because their economics was based whit ussr--- 80% of Baltic goods, money what they made was taken to ussr and send to Bulgaria, cssr and cuba. some experts says ussr wont eb able brings ocialism even to Poland if Baltics wont be occupied

My 2c on this ( well, it's more like a few pound-sterling haha )

While you have the right to be frustrated by what Mediterranena countries have done, truth is the problem belongs to the whole of Europe. My country is not in the Schengen area and I hope it doesn't get into it soon due to corruption and fact mafia has already blended with the government forming one whole.

Greek situation is something that is rarely understood by most Europeans. The Greek governments did misrepresent financial data and they did it twice so they deserve blame. But the ascension to the Eurozone for a country that wasn't ready was a fault of the EU. The Greek pension system and the fact that about 75% of all government spending went to finance government administrative costs, also paying recurring moneys like pensions by emitting more debt, that was a massive flaw that I wonder how no one in the EU spotted.

It is not that much of a fault to the Greeks but to the EU. When Greece joined the Eurozone, cost of debt decreased rapidly which provoked an economy driven by cheap loans. The booming economy due to cheap credit lines meant strong financial data and quickly attracted institutional investors looking for higher returns on bonds than what they got from other countries in the Eurozone. Some of those were Commerzbank, Allianz, Societe Generale, BNP Paribas and others. The large exposures of those German and French banks to Greek debt made the German government take part of the proposal and approve it later for a rescue package to Greece to be issued. Should Greece had defaulted, that would very likely collapse the World financial system, moreover the German economy so when Germans go around and protest that they do not want to pay other's debt - I smile and keep on. It was their banks that misinterpreted the risks associated with their investments that forced Germany as a country to step in, not the Greeks. Hunger for a few more basis points and the blind actions of bankers in the leading German banks are to blame, not the Greek people, neither the German government. But the problem is more complex. The total indirect exposure of US banks to Greece was estimated to be over USD650 billion and this is why the US also helped the Eurozone and is still doing it by keeping their liquidity channels opened longer than it was intended. People need ot understand there is no German, Swedish, Bulgarian, Canadian economies anymore - only world economy.

I am very pro-EU but if they don't solve critical issues, I doubt this commonwealth would continue to exist, not in this form. Unless we take care of a major weakness, we would remain in a zombie state of dependency. The flaw that needs to be addressed concerns the euro - having a single currency into a bloc of 28 different fiscal regulators is an utopia, a balloon that will burst one day. Unless we have common fiscal system, common financial regulation and common political government - the euro is doomed, as is the Eurozone. Indeed, Greece's main problem today is that it cannot print money to devaluate its goods and services and help itself. It has the chains of euro and its a good example the Eurozone needs to haste its common fiscal system development if it really wants to exist. My country applied for it too this January and we are not ready for it, simply because we have a weak economy based mostly on services and properties ( which require financing so another bubble forming ) and limited export power to sustain the gradual decrease in interest rates which might very well happen when the country is allowed to adopt the Euro.

NATO - I am against it. Europe is large enough, has the strategic capabilities to produce its own military equipment and should organize its own common army and leadership. Recent spy scandals reveal the US care little about anything outside of the States and I do not blame them for this. Any country would. But large conglomerates are forming, China is too strong for any country in Europe, Russia too ( while not what it used to be 40 years ago ), the US as well. latin American countries are closer in cultural aspects than we are and can easily form a conglomerate if they wish to. The only way forward for Europe is in a common European state, based around a model of cultural closeness and ending where Bulgaria, Cyprus and Greece end, and that is only if we want to survive in tomorrow's world

NATO is in Afghanistan because it had to follow its contractual obligation to its founding member, the USA. The real push to me looks like it was to save the US dollar from falling off the cliff and expand influence in a strategic zone that allows close base to Iran, Russia and China. Afghanistan was ( before the taliban ) the worlds largest producer of opium used for certain street drugs, the taliban scorched all the fields when they came to power and drugs is traded in US dollars, money in the grey economy that were about to suddenly show up. Someone needed to remove the taliban government. Today Afghanistan produces more opium than it did before the war by about 12%. Also, it has a resource that would be more valuable than diamonds in some 20 years - lithium. So it was one strike, three serious benefits, who won't do it? Osama bin Laden's family has had close ties with the Bush family, somehting George Bush Jr. politely avoided including in his book "Decision points". NATO is just a fat school boy with several comrades, but one they they'd all grow up and go their own way.

I will tell you one thing - Russia has zero interest in invading Europe, the second being its largest trade partner. You don't bite the hand that feeds you, do you? Its like invading the Oban distillery and killing all the people ( nice choice, I like the Oban a lot ) when you love to have a glass in the evening.

By the way, the new Amorphis absolutely rocks!

They have no resources to recreate the USSR, neither the ideology Such move would be expensive and yield nothing, today money rules so I see a big red NO. What they did in Ukraine was to prevent NATO from getting a close base and control one of the largest coal fields ( Donbas area ). Ukraine also has significant metal processing industry.

I think so, at least, might be wrong.

No you won't need visas and luggage checks were always there.

Hell, when I travel to Singapore or Malaysia I don't need any sort of visas, same applies ot most countries in the world. You just get a stamp in your passport upon entrance which lets you stay there for three months.

in airports yes, but not travel whit car , buss, or train... I never ever had any problems in fary travel capital city if my origin country- vapitali city to my location country , or Tallinn - Helsinki

Travel to Russia , its like 100 tracks per day, can be checked in Lv-Rus border, we have no such problems inside

Hej,
Of course I'm not with being part of these organisations, simply because EU steals the democracy even more than the french state did before it.

Euro is fucked up since the beginning, it can't last any longer as a currency : to balance a zone which isn't economically homogenous, you have three things : the change rate (no more of that, euro is 1:1 carved in stone), the workers moving from the poor parts to the rich parts (a language problem) or the rich parts must give massive money to the poor parts, and germany doesn't want that, and so doesn't france nor england.

Of course, NATO is just the USA having its big hand over us all, and deciding what is the next country we're going to be at war with. NATO should have ended with the USSR, it's now a threat to all country not behaving, from the USA point of view.

UE itself was USA's will : most of the "UE fathers" were paid by the CIA, Walter Hallstein was responsible for Hitler's european project and that's why he became the first commission president. There is a funny french postcard from 1942 litterally naming the "european union".

Also why obama and co are doing all they can to save the euro or the brexit when they should fear a united europe defending its interests against them ? This was just UE propaganda, and it's easy to realise nowadays : all the UE system and the euro was made to not work, institutions as they were built arn't only anti-democratic, they were made to make european countries puppets of the USA. It's also one place were lobbyists can work with hundreads of millions of customers to buy their shit, there is of course corruption as well.

Turkey isn't in EU but will be one day if the situation doesn't change, because obviously USA wants that OTAN countries become UE countries. Plus atm erdogan playing dangerous games with syria and russia could lead us to a world war though the NATO treaty.

My only hope is that england leaves and that finland leaves euro. Will probably give ideas to others and get us rid of both.

Hej,
We need russia to balance things with the usa. You're happy we're not talking russian but we are talking american (and not french or croatian) ? Poland or czeck republik are not anymore in russia's hands, but they are in USA's hands, it's different but not better.
We're under the west propaganda so putin is evil and obama is great, in the west homosexuals have rights and elsewere they have no right. I'd be happy to not have the homosexual and gender propaganda from the USA here in france.
Putin defends the interests of russia, he doesn't obey the USA so he's the devil in the prism of the western propaganda.
I think we need a strong russia to balance the world, and independant france and germany which would defend their own interests and trade with both. Of course NATO, EU and euro will prevent that as long as they exist.

Georgia or ukraine, this is just more episodes of the cold war that is supposed to have ended in 1990 or so. How USA is clean in those cases ? Do you know how the coloured revolutions happen ? Some fairytales say it's just fessebouc and the people's will to get rid of some evil dictator. But all these coloured items the people wear didn't fall from the sky, behind these are foundings from the west and manipulation techniques that the USA have developped for decades.
I'm not saying russia is always clean, just some countries defend their interests and our medias only point out the bad stuff from russia.
You like sports right ? How come there are so many cases of russian dopers, who can't beat the clean athletes from the west ? How come Kristina Smigun and Andruus Veerpalu are gonna get away with their gold medals without further investigations on the 2006 samples ? Everyone is doped but mostly the russians athletes fail the doping tests, surely it's bad luck or amateur doping.

And btw, saudi arabia and turkey are USA's allies, what are they waiting to fight for democracy or homosexual rights in those countries ? See, it's a problem in iran and russia, but not one in saudia arabia or turkey because they are strong allies of the USA.

And please, no UE government. The further the power is from you, the less your voice will be heard as a citizen... that's why they create bigger administrative areas in france, they want even less democracy.

Hej,
Russia doesn't want to be USSR again, they just don't want USA satellite states at their borders. Nobody expects russia to invade tchekoslovakia in 2016. Like iran doesn't have any invasion projects.
Obama isn't better than the other presidents, he's a puppet, like others, in the hands of banks and big companies which paid for his election propaganda. He continued what his predecessors have started in the near east. And he has no right to tell europeans if they should leave or not the EU.

I have no idea what the baltic people think about EU. Our medias, who love the EU so much, prefer to inform us about what happens in the USA and israel.
Free travel isn't bad, but really I'd spend few minutes more to cross the belgian border happily when we're out of the EU. Not that I visit belgium often anyway.

Hej, USA will continue the regime change when they don't like a regime, and russia will continue to try and have a friendly ruler in the countries where they have interests, too.
A lot of europeans want to leave UE and euro for very good reasons. The borders have their use, you should remember we lived with borders and it wasn't much of a problem, at least way less than the no-borders (big companies paying their taxes in luxemburg and our industry dying from the globalisation induced by the maastricht treaty).
And we're not helping greece, they want to save the banks and the euro. Greece is still in big trouble and they had to sell their ports and other stuff. We would have helped greece by letting them leave the eurozone (or not let them enter it since they lied about their economy and shouldn't have been able to enter).
