Our lives are miserable here. High prices, low salaries. Lots of crime and morons in the government.

We do have crime and we've got police who doesn't save you when a maniac attacks you during MIDDAY in DOWNTOWN(however, the police will suddenly appear when they discover you've opened a bottle of ale or crossed a street in a wrong place at wrong time...)...
morons in the government? Yeh, we've got them....
morons among ourselves? Yeh...experience it everyday....

You may consider that your situation is worse than in Latvia but i disagree. We here live like in Africa.

I was looking at The Guiness Book Of Records the other day, it said that 3% of Latvians are happy with their lives, making them the most unhappy country in the world apparently. Is this rediculous and untrue? Or is it really that bad?

Aren't you mistaking something....I think I read from the paper that we, Estonians are the unhappiest and most depressed people in the wide world....yeh....wasn't Estonia supposed to be more depressed than Latvia....

In fact Estonians can bitch and whine regardless the weather....in fact we can have very hot summers....imagine, already in May we are attacked by heatwaves of 30C and it's hotter in here than in effin Portugal!!! And you call this "LESS SUN!" Less sun and colder weather my arse....

As I said....when it's sunny, Estonians whine "So hot! So hot!"
When it's winter and it isn't snowing then Estonians whine "We want snow!" If it's winter and it's snowing Estonians whine "So cold! We want summer!"

If something goes wrong and the media accuses someone then Estonians whine "KILL THEM!"


I personally have nothing against cool weather and cloudy sky....for me Estonia has very hot continental summers and this causes frustration to me....

Hehe, its funny when you say 30 degrees is a heatwave. Christmas Eve a year ago it was 45 degrees here in NSW Australia. Now that is HOT, still, its not all bad, good for swimming, just need alot of sunscreen.

Its actually 30 degrees now, well 28, a little under, and its 9pm.

When you say people whine (at least i think this is what you meant) about being too hot and cold, that happens everywhere, people complain its cold here when it gets to -5 degrees, i mean thats really nothing compared to some places, but for us, its the extreme.

I don't know any active doom metal band except Frailty but it's death doom band (but very good anwyay).
At least i'm happy that Latvia will never be power metal country (i haven't heard about any power metal band here in Latvia)...

It counts gothic/doom but there are more gothic how doom and I agree about I dounloud demo and aftre 2 songs dealite it

Its because thay had sun, less wories, thay can compose serius metal, but in Fin and Swe are powe rtoo Germany, but more there are extreme bands

Somehow death metal here are more popular from USSR times, death always be here firts, than black/pagan
