Iron Maiden

It was another kind of energy in the 80's when they were around 20-30, a youthful energi that cannot be re-created today. And thankfully they aren't trying either

Anyone knows if they're going to continue with their "History of Iron Maiden" tour? In that case it would be time for the 90's, maybe not their best era but I'd love to see it! My favourite moments when seeing Maiden live is when they play something I haven't already experienced during their shows (seen them six times). A '90s tour would then mean that the only song they can play (and they will) which I've already heard live is "Fear of the Dark". So if you ask me, they can play whatever they want from No Prayer for the Dying, Fear of the Dark, The X Factor and Virtual XI. Bring it!

@Warman: that would be pretty sweet with a tour like that even though it isn't their best era as you say. I would be there if they deside to do it

they have been doing "least of the beast since DoD; if they played songs from Fear... and X Factor would not be that bad, to me it's still better than anything they released after BNW.

They could play The Angel and the Gambler and have some shields on stage to protect themselves from rotten tomatoes and rotten jumbo eggs.

after a more careful reading a few more LOLs, I still keep my POV that they have been doing a "least of the beast" in the last decade.

Wanted to go to the Maiden England tour, but after seeing the Comcast Center ticket prices I'm going to pass. Is it just me or are they too expensive? $96 to even get the last row of seats seems outrageous.

Yeah, I hate ticket prices for big acts. I would love to go see this tour as well, but I doubt I will be able to afford it. I'm always jealous when my dad talks about how the ticket he bought to see Led Zeppelin only cost $5.

I'm listening to their debut album right now. The song "Strange World" has different vocals compared to what I was listening in youtube. They are more raw and heavy in the album, and clean in youtube. Also, there's no "Sanctuary" ... is this the original album, or what remaster/release is it??

What raw vocals on Strange world? That's a ballad And what's so weird about the intro?

When the album was originally released, "Sanctuary" only appeared on the US version, as the song wasn't released as a single there. (but it was released in the UK, hence the omission of the song in that territory's version of the album). When the album was reissued in the 90's though, the song was added to the album for all territories.

Hm... but the song "Strange World" was changed when the album was reissued? 'Cause it is a bit raw and it's intro is different too in my album.

Yeah, but I've heard two versions of it, one with the vocals clean and another a bit more heavy. And the intro is different now.

Maybe you've heard The Soundhouse Tapes version? "Strange World" was recorded but not included on the EP. It was later released on the Best of the Beast compilation.

That's right!! I was listening the demo version all the time, and the demo version is ten millions time better
