I don't know if this is a "mind-fuck" or not, but the movie "Requiem for a Dream" is so absolutely amazing and so fucked up that after watching it you have to just sit there for a couple of minutes just thinking, well if you actually watch it, and not just occaisionaly take a peep at it or something. It's about four people addicted to certian things and its fucking mental. If you want to quit drugs or any addiction, or just make sure you don't get into hard drugs, watch this movie, it will actually change your mind on this, its crazy. It's directed from the same director as "Pi", if anybody has seen that. It actually has some good actors in it too, both now pretty famous, Marlon Wayans and Jared Leto. And also while your watching it it almost feels like your on those hard fucking drugs too haha. Just a masterpeice of a movie, I give it 10 mindfucks out of 10.

Now that is a mindfuck. Didn't have a clue what the hell was going on... And however, even though the movie depicts coprophilia, homosexuality, ritual mutilation of the genitalia, and rape, it doesn't even touch the depth of the atrocities in the book

Well for me the message is quite clear. Basicly its just a bunch of old geezers and women that "search" for ultimate pleasure in the mortal realms, without moral restrictions.

As you knew this is based of Markis De Sade's 120 days in sodom.

And Markis de sades message was rather obvious:

Lust above all, all other feelings are untrue. He believed that lust must be what we strive for no matter what and no matter what the cost.

As you saw in the movie that was exactly what they where doing. Searching for their ultimate pleasure, without a thought of the consecvenses.

There is not more depth to it than that.

And I think the director did a great job showing us the human that Markis De Sade thought was the real human.

on a rather disgusting sidenote:

The happenings in this movie is not all false, during the facist italy in WW2 there was reports of several "wealthy" people that did similar things, as in kidnapping several poor people and sodomise them to death etc....

We live in a sick world ^^.

Yes indeed, it was shown quite well. I had understood as much as you penned down, but I was left pondering whether there was more to the film than beats the eye. Anyhow, thanks for your explaination.

You cant help but think you know what going on throughout the whole movie only to be proven wrong at the very end. However... this made for a fantasitc way to end the movie.

I really liked this movie a lot as well. Excellently done. Denzel and Clive Owen were great! But I can't see how either of these movies are mind fucking when people don't consider 120 days of Sodom as a Mindfuck

Guinea Pigs : 2-3-4 (heard they where the only good ones)

Men Behind The Sun : Heard it was shocking and good

August Underground Mordum: Heard it was rather gruesome

Ichi The Killer: heard it had some good torture scenes and stuff

So any comments on theese? Which ones to start out with etc? And in case most of you didnt know all thoose movies are supposed to be very disturbing gore flicks..

The David Lynch movies is something I would call mindfuck movies. The movies I´ve seen from him are good, but fucking wierd. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is also a mindfuck movie to mention.

David lynch is amazing, I would strongly recommend his masterpiece "Eraserhead" if you havent seen it yet. The best mindfuck movie ever.

I watched part 2 and 3 yesterday. 2 was rather disturbing, but the third was hillarious. I couldn't understand how they are in the same series. They where totally different xD

I actually havent heard of any but Ichi the Killer, but just because you mentioned them Ill check them out. It doesnt matter what a movie is about Ill watch it at least once just to see what the fuss is about. You should check out Inside Man though... There is no violence in the movie but it has a really awesome plot and group of characters.:thumbup:

Yeah I have heard a lot of good stuff about it, so I will probably check it out soon. Thanks! Oh and thoose movie mentioned above, are mostly very very sick when it comes to useage of gore effects etc. Think twice before watching them.

Recently seen Jacob's Ladder again. That's really a recommendation. It's a great disturbing movie. One of the best movies ever made in my opinion!

Probably the last movie that i was - 'The Prestige'. I have never used my brains abilities to think that much...

A few movies here:

The Toxic Avenger- Its actually a comedy about a nerd who gets picked on alot but then falls into toxic waste them comes back as a big monster (somewhat like the hulk) and brutally kills criminals. The mind fucking part about this movie is that it was aloud to be made.

Natural Born Killers- Its like a mushroom trip put into a movie......with lots of killing and stuff, great movie.

And on a side note, has anyone seen the previews for a film called 'Pans Labrynth'? im sure theres gonna be a few posts about that movie in here once it comes out.

I've seen it!
Pan's Labyrinth is a great movie! One of the best fantasy movies of the past few years. Absolutely amazing. And kinda depressing too, but very good.
I wouldn't really call it a mind fucking movie or a disturbing one.
Little girls in fantasy worlds aren't neccessarily disturbing.

by far they weirdest, grossest, most horrible movie ever created. not to mention slow as hell. There were even parts of the movie I couldn't bring myself to watch.

I've just seen Donnie Darko and it fits definitely in that category IMO... I have the feeling my head is gonna explode because of the many interpretations I have, and I can see funny bunnies whenever I close my eyes : But it was great I should see it again being high, I guess I could find even weirder interpretations

Well it was indeed fucking sick. But it was in my opinion a damn great movie.. Never seen anything like it before and will probably never again. Worth mentioning is that apparently something similar to this actually did happen in Facist italy during the 1940-1945 era.... Kinda disturbing thought...

I watched 'A Nightmare On Elms Street' recently, before then I just thought it was your run of the mill slasher movie, I guess not, its actually got some really cool effects and it is in fact a real mindfuck movie.
