Yeah , Enslaved gig was Amazing .... since now after a huge success of maiden gig , i guess lot many bands gonna come india. But most of them will be mainstream bands , like Metallica Megadeth Slayer. But those who saw Enslaved was a big treat for them. No many death-black metal bands gonna come india for sure .... ehhhh , not many people actually listen to extreme metal here. It was seriously a treat for us , saw Enslaved twice ..... Fucking tight and amazingly brilliant , they did song from Isa , Frost , Runn and Vikingligr Veldi. Grutle is one of the brilliant bassist - vocalist around and Cato is a drum machine from Ruun Path To Vanir and I think they played Fusion Of Sense And Earth too. from Isa Isa Bounded By Allegiance Return To Yggdrasil from Frost Jotunblod Isöders dronning In one of my friends word : "To all who missed it....I dont have words to explain. It was simple , plain , beautiful music." Some random pics and finally

@Hembrom: You saw Enslaved both times, right? Incidentally, throwing some politics into the thread for the first time in a while, what's the new story with Kashmir? I heard a snippet on NDTV (in the 2 seconds of the day when they're not talking about cricket) that India and Pakistan had come a lot closer to resolving the issue, and Indian Express just had an article about some bus between Muzaffarabad in P.O.K. and Srinagar in J & K, and how they've got all these grand designs for free trade and free movement etc etc. Any comments?

Happy 15th August to everyone for yesterday as well, even though we live here in Australia we ended up lighting sparklers and having a little celebration with some other friends (also Indians, obviously). Any dates on this Megadeth business? I'll probably be in Mumbai for a month or so around December/January, and while the 'Deth are coming to Australia in a bit, I know they'll play a better setlist in India because it'd be a momentous occasion, so if the dates coincide, I'd choose to see them there. Oh, and everyone celebrate India's series win in England, first time since 1986!

Alright, first post here in ages, and there is a significant enough occasion to warrant it too. For those who haven't heard yet, President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan has just declared a state of emergency, and suspended pretty much every civil liberty that the people of Pakistan had. He said that the emergency has been imposed due to the increased militancy in the state, and especially the total lack of central governmental control in NWFP and the FATA, but most other sources reckon that it's because he knew his election earlier this year was unconstitutional and he wanted to stop the Supreme Court ousting him from power. What's the backlash, people? Anything happened in India so far from these developments? Has the government said anything? After all, the talks are still going on about Kashmir and the Iran-Pakistan-India oil pipeline, right? Equally importantly, I hope the cricket doesn't get too affected by all this! It's pretty shit for one of my friends, she was to go back to Peshawar in December, and now she totally can't, because that's a militant stronghold.

07.11.2007 - 05:49 Written by Judas on 04.11.2007 at 07:24 Its nothing new for the people of pakistan i guess as they have a history of such instances. Some people will make noises for a few days and then everything will die down. I loved the Indian reaction to this development which was a two liner from the Ministry of External Affairs.

@Maulik/Amit: My flight times have changed, I now get into Bombay at 10.30pm on Monday. I'm bringing my mobile to India, but don't call me on that for the first few days because it'll cost you shitloads, since all calls will be diverted from Australia. Texts are still the same price, so send those instead if you need to contact me. I'm going to get myself an Indian prepaid sim-card and I'll text you that number as soon as I get it so it'll be nice and cheap for us all.
