Here is the topic where, like in the old forum, American Metalstormers can congregate and talk about metal and what is happening in their state. Hope y'all have fun!

Dude, I was behind the Steelers 110%. Jerome Bettis deserved at least one ring. Only because my Panthers were out.

I was so fucken sick and tired of the media talking about how Bettis deserved to win. Well, at least they had the refs on their side.

I'm still very, very bitter

Well, you can't deny that Bettis didn't make an impact as a player. It was almost a storybook ending for him, winning in Detroit. The officiating wasn't great, but when is it? You remember the call made in the Patriots and Raiders game back in the 01-02 season? With Tom Brady's fumble ruled as an incomplete pass?

He made an impact, but he has absolutely no talent. He was only successful because of his size. He's the slowest running back in the game and he can't be counted on as a receiver.

Yeah, I know that every game has bad calls but this game in particular had way too many. Remember when they called Hasselbeck for that illegal tackle in the second half? That was the stupidest call I've ever seen in my life.

I do have to agree, Bettis is a decent-sized human being, which really helped him in the game.

Hasselbeck did get screwed on that call....just another to add to a long list of plays that should have been called the other way.

I'm curious, who are your favorite teams and your least favorite teams?

Well, when it comes to football and baseball, I pretty much only like the home team. However, I don't mind the Cardinals or the Broncos. The only reason why I don't mind the Cardinals is because they have 2 incredible receivers. Well, and they always lose to my team. As for the Broncos, well, they have had an amazing offense for years. The Ed McCaffrey and Rod Smith duo was almost unstoppable and they have spawned so many running backs it's ridiculous. Plus, their Free Safety, John Lynch, is one of my favorite players. Also, before the Super Bowl, I actually didn't mind the Steelers, but that changed...

What about you?

Well, being from North Carolina...I'm a big Panthers guy myself. Steve Smith is probably the best receiver I've ever seen. Sadly, after M. Muhammed left, he was kind of on his own. I'm also a Raiders fan, but after Tampa Bay ass-raped them in the Super Bowl a few years back, they've really been out of it.

Teams I truly despise are The New England Patriots...for reasons I think are obvious. The other is The Green Bay Packers. I have always loathed everything associated with this team.

You watched any preseason yet?

ahh man, the Raiders are Seattle's enemy

Yeah, Steve Smith is one of the best receivers in the game, but he's so damn cocky! Well, I guess most high caliber sports stars are though.

I watched the Seahawks preseason game, but it was the 2nd most horrible thing I've ever watched. There were like 30 turnovers that game. Granted, it was just the backups playing, but still...

Have you seen any games yet?

Steve Smith...cocky? No way! He's not Terrell Owens.

Wow...I'm glad I didn't see the Seahawks game then, damn. I happened to catch the Panther's game the other day, nothing special. Keyshawn Johnson seems like he will be a nice addition to the team. Maybe he'll finally fill that void Muhammed left.

Any predictions for this year? I actually see the Seahawks getting pretty far, but eventually they're gonna get in the Panthers way. I wonder, are the Colts gonna finally go all the way?

Football is one of the hardest things to predict because there are so many injuries that effect the season. Seattle is actually supposed to be better than last year because we have an even better defense now and we added another great receiver, Nate Burleson. Plus, Peter Warrick (WR) and one of the hardest hitting guys in the league, Ken Hamlin (S), are finally healthy. But who knows....we have a wide receiver as a backup QB so our season could go to shit fast.

Seneca Wallace is our backup. When we drafted him a couple of years ago we converted him to a QB. He's a horrible quarterback though.

I don't know if you watched the playoff game, but we ran a trick play which had Seneca Wallace as a fake QB, but he was actually the receiver and ended up making an incredible catch. I've never seen a QB catch a ball before lol.

Lol....no I didn't see that. He's probably better than Weinke, our backup that we've had forever.

I have high hopes, especially considering the addition of Keyshawn Johnson. I'm a little concerned about our running back sitiuation. We no longer have Stephen Davis, which really sucks because I thought he was quite the player. Deshaun Foster did a good job last year in his place, but I don't know how he will handle being the main guy. We also have Nick Goings who stepped up in the last couple of years when we needed him to, but he is also a little inexperienced.

meh, running backs are probably the easiest spot to fill. As long as you guys have a good offensive line and an effective fullback it doesn't really matter who your running back is.

Simple. We're a country of 300,000,000 people - a country that is broken down into fifty Europe-sized states (Unfortunately, too many people, including especially Americans, forget this fact and focus on wholly federal issues. States do have strong identities in the US). Take any European nation and compare it with any US state, and I'm almost certain the amount of MSers in the European nation would beat the amount in the US state (aside from our larger states, of course).

And it's hardly a majority - it's a plurality, rather.

I was watching ESPN a couple of days ago and two analysts said that they thought that the Panthers have a good chance of going to the Super Bowl this year.

Better believe it!

We're undefeated in pre-season play so far, but that means nothing. The season starts in less than 2 weeks, so I'm ready to see what we can do.

haha yeah. After the game, Chris Simms had to go to the hospital to remove his spleen. Not only did he lose another game, but he lost an organ too.

Yes and no. At one point the score was 42-3, but the Giants scored a crap load of points in the 4th quarter and the final score was something like 42-30.

Well yeah, but by the time the Giants started scoring points, the damage was done.
