Well I'll try to bring this one back to life eventhough it never really lived

This time I thought I'll ask good time in advance to promote the event a little as well: are any one going to the ProgPower Scandinavia 2008 in October/November? I know I am, because my absolute favourite band, Wuthering Heights is playing along some other great big international names like Pagan's Mind and Pain Of Salvation

Also have plans for Mercenary in a few weeks if my exam schedule allows it.

This is not about metal but I just had to tell anyone reading this thread (the Danes know it already): Carlsberg/Tuborg have introduced a light beer...and by light I'm not talking about the amount of alcohol, but the amount of calories. The alcohol percentage is 4,1 and the beer is supposed to have 30% less calories than a normal lager.
I think this is a brilliant move to get girls totally focused on the amount of calories they consume to maybe drink a beer or two. For the guys I doubt it will have much effect, but I have a few friends who could benefit from it

So what are your thoughts on this?

Nice map you found there. I'm not interested in football, but it's always fun to know that people outside DK are following our league. The local team here is AGF (and they suck)

The number of breweries in my area? I don't know. Quite a few, but mos of them are micro-breweries. There is one big one Ceres (part of the Unibrew group). They make quite good beers and exports a lot too so you might know them.

Yes but not all beers are for export some can be tasted in made area and its make it so special

Aye it costs to travel. Not only the journey but also living which is pretty expensive in DK. Well if I ever get to Latvia I'll bring a bunch of Danish beers and snaps

So I finally got around buying the ticket for ProgPower Scandinavia. Now I only have to figure out where to stay...it's so expensive in Copenhagen Well whatever I find will be worth it, because the festival will be kick-arse with excellent bands and the oppotunity to meet Jeff who's traveling from France to be there!

...so if any Danes know of a good, cheap place to stay, that's located not too far from The Rock, please let me know

The Danhostel is a good cheap place and about 10 minutes walk at most away from The Rock.

@Marcel: yeah I figured that it would be the cheapest so I booked it today...now I just hope no one will offer me anything cheaper

I doubt it since hotel/hostel prices in Copenhagen are bloody high. I thought The Netherlands was expensive but Copenhagen beats us easily

Yeah - I expect to be there. I missed out on the Rammstein forum concert, as I was ill most of december, so it's nice to get the chance again - even if a festival concert is only half the fun.

Would like to see a few more announcements though...

It was my first Rammstein gig so I can't compare it to any others as done by many in the papers (saying it wasn't too good), but I erally enjoyed it. The setlist was way better than expected and a lot of the new stuff proved even better live. I ordered my ticket to Copenhagen Live a few days later

I have caught the a few times before, they are always a blast.

It is nice that they are trying to get something going on femøren again - back in the old days, there were loads of concerts all summer long - mostly before I moved to Copenhagen though.

Is there both a place called 5-øren and 10-øren? Because I believe that they're playing at the latter

If anyone if from Copenhagen can you help me finding the good places

I'm searching for places tha play like alternative rock/punk/reggae/ska/balkan and drum and bass
and if you can dance in there or you just sit around
