Saoshyañt: - "oa" : same as "ou" in "out". - the rest same as english Shāh: - "Sh" : same as "sh" in english - "ā" : same as "a" in "father" - "h" : same as english Vîdhâtaot: - "V" : as "w" in "water" - "î" : as i in "it" only lengthened - "â" : as "a" in "father" only lengthened - "oa" : same as "ou" in "out". - the rest same as english thanks for your recommendation. you're right the second one is better in sound but i prefer the meaning of the first one so i think i'll use them interchangably...

The root in Avesta and Sanskrit for death is "mar/mr", to die. "Merethyu" is the only word which truly means "death". In Pahlavi and Persian "marg" means "death". in Avestan "mahrka" means death. and "vid" means see, know, obtain. after all what i found in an Avestan Dictionary was: vîdhâtaot [vîdhâtu] 5 (Abl) m. Vidhatu, demon of death (k495) i don't know if these information can help you track the origin of the word...

Also to die is uMEREIT(умереть) in Russian...which also is Indo-European... videre in Latin means "to see" videit(видеть) in Russian means "to see"... veder in Spanish means "to see" vid(вид) in Russian means "view/appearance"
