No Im disapointed whit game, Spain didnt desreve win that game, it shood be 0-0 damn damn Del Piero say write:''Maybe Real are stronger how Juve, but Italy had won 3 WC(now 4), Im disapointed whit game, firts ugly goll noooooooooooooooooo

You are absolutely right. I stopped watching the game after 10 minutes. I heard the end of the match on the radio, and hosts (who didn't even celebrate both goals) said that Spain was going nowhere if they kept playing like that. The worst thing is that the coach, Luis Aragonés, refused to contact the media afterwards and the few players who did (Fábregas, Casillas, Albelda) showed an unjustifiable arrogance (blaming journalists for their own failure) and optimism at the same time. It was ICELAND and LATVIA for hell's sake. I am very afraid of what will come out of our next match, against Denmark...

Man game shood end 0-0 if there was no fast firts gool because of betetr techique of players you know playing in LA LIGA or 'Virslīga' are big digerence but otherhand it wanst suprsied we will loose but ok 4-0 and domain all game, but if w had lil better expierience we woudnt lost gools, so but if it was Danmark you wodnt won so 2 hard games there be Danmark, Sweden and remeber Norden Irland in Belfast

Attention to all Metalstormers from Madrid! Seraphim will be playing tomorrow, Friday 27.09.2007, in Sala Ritmo & Compás (between metro stations Avenida de América and Cartagena) at 21.00h. Supporting them will be two new Spanish bands (Koven -Heavy Metal with a TV award-winning female singer, i.e. "Lluvia de Estrellas"- and Perfect Smile -"Happy Progressive Metal" as they label themselves; it is the former Arwen vocalist's new band-). The ticket costs 10? and is only available at the venue.

Who else is coming?

Leganés is supposed to be Spain's metal capital, isn't it? You have the Scorpions and AC/DC streets there (@foreign Metalstormers: I'm not shitting you, you may search for "Calle de AC/DC" or "Calle de Scorpions" on Google Maps or something), La Cubierta de Leganés and such... but as far as nightlife in Leganés is concerned, I am completely useless and ignorant, sorry!

By the way, I already have the tickets for Dream Theater and Sonata Arctica in November! What about the rest of you Spanish Metalstormers? I guess that after I attend these shows, and looking forward to seeing Dark Tranquillity live one day, I can die happy

I need some advice and recommendations from you guys,

I will be visiting Spain for the first time, in December, I still have not decided which city I would go to, leaning towards the warmest climate

anyways, I went to the book store's travel section, there so many books and I was semi lost in choosing, so hints/recommendation will be appreciated

thanks in advance

If you come to Madrid, I can give you some advice, but it certainly isn't the warmest place in Spain in December. In fact, if I were you, I would choose one of the tropical Canary Islands instead, namely Lanzarote ^_^. Anyway, if you are planning to visit some urban areas with museums, nightlife and so on, you definitely have to go to a big town in the South (Sevilla, Granada -where the eighth world wonder, the Alhambra, is located- or Cádiz are good options IMO) or to one of the three largest cities in Spain, i.e. Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia.

Whatever your choice will be, I shall keep an eye on this thread in order to help you within my possibilities.

@K7 & Taktsekte,

Thanks, Sevilla it is. I got a couple of books to finalize the trip, but it is still a pain to book tickets from London to Sevilla, I am still working on it.
I was also thinking to spend a day in Granada.

Does everything close during Christmas?

Yah, they're becoming pretty famous here and their name's starting to be heard in near countries. I love them...maybe my liking for them has been influenced by the fact that one of the guitarists was my guitar teacher

Check out their new album if you haven't yet!

Not at all, shops and pubs/bars don't close during Christmas, except for the 25th and the 31st I think. When exactly are you coming? And how long are you staying here? I'm studying in Málaga, between Granada and Sevilla I'm sure you'll love those cities ^^

@ Aylee_Bodom,

that was the original plan, I only had 3 days to spare, but to fly/train/whatever transportation to either Granada or Sevilla was either incredibly time consuming (that would leave me about 1 day only vs 2 days traveling) or incredibly expensive! 300 Euros just for traveling covering one leg! Sorry too expensive, everything I tried just made the planning worse, so I had to postpone it for another time, I will just freeze me ass somewhere in England, which reminds me I need to buy a coat?

Really? Why don't you try Ryanair? I just cheked it out and a return ticket from London (Stansted) to Seville costs 76,63 pounds. It's important for you to watch the days you choose, cause depending on that, the price can vary a lot. For example, the days I chose to check that out were the 17th to go to Seville, and the 23rd to go back to London.

Hi! ^^ I have been in Leganés to see Dream Theater and Opeth last week, and I didn't stay much, but, don't you think La Cubierta it's just a shitty place for such concerts? They could be more careful when it comes to shows like this; otherwise I don't think any band would like to come here in the future... XD! I'm just saying... If Leganés is truly the metal capital of Spain, they should care more for it!

By the way, I'm going to see Sonata Arctica the next month too ^^!!! And maybe Kamelot in April, I don't know... too much bands I like....

I agree, as far as acoustics and organization are concerned. The stage is too small and there are just not enough personnel to check the audience's tickets... but hay, it's a bullfighting arena after all, as Leo Jiménez said once in Las Ventas "let's spread the word that this is not a place where bulls are slaughtered, this is a place where culture is made". It is a shame anyway that we have to stick to bullfighting arenas in order to attend any gigs at all, now that some epic centres such as La Riviera have closed.

See you there. Good to see that we will be at least 4 Metalstormers there ... let's see how well Delain do if Ronald fails to stay on stage in Madrid, now that he has left the band!

WHAT?! ._. Since when?! But the Kamelot tour in Madrid is going to be there... well, it's written like that everywhere. If it's closed, where is supposed Kamelot to play? I'm shocked....

Anyway, the fact La Riviera is a bullfighting arena doesn't excuse the place at all. They should be more careful to put something on the floor so there wasn't so much dust in the air, for example... and the acoustics thing is absolutely true. There are still some decent places to attend gigs in Madrid. Palacio de los Deportes, for example. Dream Theater was there once. And I think the Heineken is not that bad... well, I suppose, it's my first time going there.

As for Delain, I don't care much for them since is not a band I fancy.... just hope they play quickly. xDDDD
