Hmm, yeah...
I was thinking about buying the starter set from Barnes and Noble for around $30, but then decided to pick up Rammstein album.

I also have so far failed to find any people that are interested in D&D around here.

I've been playing DnD with some of my friends for year and half now. We haven't had long-lasting party's, but it's interesting. Soon starting with Star Wars D20.
Not really into computer RPG's. I have played Baldur's Gate II, Nox, Neverwinter Nights (correct spelling?) and Diablo II. Of course can't forget MMORPG's, a lot of those.

If you have played Baldur's Gate II, I Hihly recomend going back and playing the first as well.

Yes, Baldur's Gate is too interesting to miss.

Meh i played baldur's gate right till the last boss fight (without counting with the expansion ofc) where u are in a cave with lots of monsters an a building and u have to go inside and kill the final boss + minions. I ran out of those fire pots so i cant even get near them So i just gave up lol blah

Is that the first part? Cause the only one i able to finish is BG: Shadows Of Amn, the best rpg videogame i can imagine.

yeah i played baldur's gate 1

I also played it a while ago, but got stuck under the castle, my evil mage ran off and i couldn't get out of there with out him

I have been playing D&D for awhile, it is one of my favorite pass times. I also enjoy all the Dragon Quest rpgs which are by far the best console rpgs even more so than Final Fantasy. I enjoy Final Fantasy as well but lately they have been horrible.

Baldurs Gate both number I and II is fantastic RPG games.. The storyline is very good!

Yeah, definetely classic game, and bestseller too. Great stories altough I enjoyed first part more. Many great games was created under influence of this game. I remember I didn't go to school for two weeks when I played first part, my mom wanted to kill me when she found out

Which version of the Star Wars d20 are you using? The new core book just came out last month and is so much better. It redoes the Force powers for Jedi so you can't abuse the heck out of them.

May gaming crew just finished our Star Wars d20 a few months back. It was great. But he have raped the d20 beyond belief. We have mastered every trick and bent it to our will. So we are done with d20 systems for a few years. We're starting the d10 (Whitewolf) system now.

Heheh, sounds familiar to me, I didn't know someone else was doing it too, although I have done the same with Fallout. I quite often create new characters there, I have finsihed the game about 5 times but I have created quite an enormous amount of different characters there and I have a few Ideas about new characters I might try out and finish the game with when I am bored or have nothing to do

Wasn't Aronax some character in Arcanum by the way?

Hahaha yeah, he was, I am not sure is it good idea to write here, well he was evil elven wizard who destroyed one civilization, Vendigroth, and he wanted to clear Arcanum from other races but Dark Elves. His father Nasrudim and high elven council banished him to void, from where no one returned. Well, in whole game everyone think that Aronax is returning to finish what he started but he actually was traped by some other evil wizard lol the one who found Necromancy formulas, but he was using Aronax's name to make dark elves work for him and banish dwarven clan to void so they can creat portal to Arcanum...

Ah... my favorite computer game plot.Ever. Altough it suck's that an acquintance of mine spoiled the ending for me and told who the real badguy was instead of Aronax. And the bastard hadn't even played the game to the ending, he read it at Gamebanshee. That would have been so cool if I had found it out on my own while playing the game but the guy just had to ruin it .

LoL I am glad that I wasn't the one to ruin it for you, Arcanum have such a great story I think, all those happenings during the game, great side quests and decent main quest, they created such a great atmosphere while playing that game, I actually had feeling that I am there, and I never manage to get that feeling with any other game, I mean steam machines combined with magic and whole that cold war and everything, awesome

Since we are between Arcanum fans, anyone knows something about that place in the far North west corner of the map entitled "This is the unknown area" ? Can't get into it by teleporting. Although I guess it's the place where you start your journey in (and automatically pops in the Buy-Sell interface, at the very begining) I don't know if I made myself clear

If Arcanum was with Troika's next game engine (TOEE) it would be have something really explosive (!!)

I strucked in Morrowind and walkthrough won't help. well, this is the situation, game so far was extremely easy, and I came to the quest where I must prove to some Ashlander tribe that I am Nerevine. Anyway, I got some warrior test and I went to some stupid drumner fortress, kill everyone took shits I needed... but after few hours of playing I realised that even some stupid blighted rat make serious damage to my charchter (wood Elf). Until then I made extremely strong charchter in full glass armor with light armor raiting 86 or so. Anyway, I cheked that shit out, and I had something to see, all of my armor stats fall to 0!!! I don't know how or when, but I can't restore it. anyone got problem like this? WHAT TO DO !?!???

I never manage to enter pits in capital of Cunbria. That prison, I tried everything but it was rather useless, so that is second place I have never been to, what is happening down there?

^^ to enter the pits of Cumbria you should insult the guards and push them to throw you in, once there, prepare yourself for some battle! but there's that awesome thief halfing lvl 30 that can become a companion (forgot his name, Bolo ?) if I remember correctly, and once you come out of it, try to remember where the Exit is.

That party we started, eventually didn't last. We didn't have any game sessions. But the corebook, we would have used, is the revised version released in 2002.

The new book doesn't make them less powerful, but makes them more specific characters. The force powers now work more like spells from D&D than skills. So there is limits on it. Their still really powerful, but no longer the jack of all trades.

That is the best PC game in the universe, I bought my copy few years ago for 4 euros so it is not expensive and you should try definetely try it
