David Lynch's Inland Empire, only 2 minutes of a 3 hour movie, made sense to me. The rest of the movie, made me wonder if the movie was some kind of contest, to see who can watch it with out going nuts.

Is he dead? Is she a hallucination? What's the doorknob got to do with it? What the hell's up with the ending?

I second that. It also doesn't offer any kind of introduction, and you are left wondering for pretty much the whole movie "wait, what's this?/how did they get there?/who are these guys?". It really looks like a chunck from a much longer story ripped out of context. I guess you can only answer by quoting the movie itself: "there are no answers, only choices".
I still thought it was good, in a way.

Aside from being one of my favourite movies, if not my all time favorite, I fail to see how this movie can be considered mindfucking. Multilayered, yes. Poetic, yes. But also amazingly simple in its dark fairytale beauty...

I've seen Begotten last night. I don't know if I would call it a mindfucking film, but it's fucked up, that's for sure. I still don't know if I liked it or hated it.

That is a great example of a mind fucking movie... Since you cant even succeed to form your own opinion of it. I myself think the movie is good, but in a damn different way. A must see for lovers of avantgarde movies. Try Eraserhead also from David lynch if you havent seen it, it is also brilliant.

The scene with god killing himself.. and the sounds.. it's brilliant man!!! I saw it at night and i don't know why.. but I't was a scary experience...
I really love that film.. is not a terror movie, but it's funny the fact that Begotten is actually the first movie that maked me feel fear.
But if could dorm my own opinion... well after the credits you have a little idea of what is going on... but some things are made so the person who watch the movie can translate them to his own way. Begotten is one of the few movies that make me think a lot of things...

Another mind fucking movie is IMO, Clockwork Orange.. I mean, How bizarre is to fuck a chic while listening to some bethoveen? or killing a person? sweet movie.

and Like Hobbit Viggo said.. "Un chien Andalou" is also mind fucking... really bizarre and it has one of the most brutals and famous scene from the movie history... seriously.

I second that. Jesus, Salad Fingers is so incredible. It's creepy, it's funny, it's depressing. Episode 5, for example.

I've still got to watch those David Lynch's movies... such a shame I can never find this kind of good stuff for buying or renting.

I love mindfuck movies, have made it a goal to watch every single one I can find... I recommend almost any David Lynch movie if you really want to be fucked mentally, especially Eraserhead, Blue Velvet (Blue Ribbon!!!!), Lost Highway, and Mulholland Drive. Anyone who has recently watched "The Dark Knight" needs to see "The Machinist," it is fucking insane what Christian Bale did to his body for that role.

This is funny.. I really thought that you missed that movie because you forgot to write it or you didn't like it
But now that you haven't see it... As Stalker said... You MUST see it:

The best thing is how is was maded... maybe you see something that I didn't catch.. or you understand the whole plot completely different as I did... The director maked the movie that way, truly awesome.

That's why is a love-it or hate-it movie IMO. Some people can't make their interpretacion and miss the whole thing.

Anything by David Lynch.
Some may just not understand him and presume that it's better not to waste their time on his movies. I think there's something beneath what you're seeing. This director makes you 'read between the lines' or think outside the box. What is strange is always more intriguing and more interesting imo.

I find that Inland Empire has a moral to it ...

Yeah, be sure to read the plot BEFORE you watch the movie, because you wont understand a shit! (neither did I)
And the whole movie is made in black&white, no dialogue, just some creepy sounds

Gotta love those crazy sounds.... without them and the black&white [lacking even grey] will make this movey not so interesting tbh.

i reckon oldboy is a mind blowing film, the plot is soooo unique and the ending is so unexpected, i cant believe that rich dude went through the trouble he did just cos the other dude started a rumour!

I absolutely agree with you....I saw the version with Naomi Watts last night....
This film was highly disturbing already from the beginning....but I hated the remote control scene....it ruined the realistic concept quite thoroughly....

Yes, disturbing is the word. That scene... wow I was pissed with that. But I guess it's part of why the movie is so strange.

I just saw a movie "1408" with John Cusack, he is specialist in paranormal stuff and enters the room 1408 where 52 deaths happened durring the past. Anyway, nothing special but again, not bad movie.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fucking the weirdest movie ive ever seen and i totally got lost while watching it and also 2001: A Space Odyssey was WTF!
Also The Prestige was a bit weird too and i also got a bit lost watching it but it was a good movie though and wouldnt mind seeing it again.
