I'm only apart of the groups that some of my deviations get invited in to. Other than that I don't really go on DA that much :/. Maybe I should go lurk more on it since nearly all the artwork is absolutely amazing. I saw a video once of some guy (or girl) drawing the mane 6 as futuristic robots, might go check that out again later.

I heard rumours about them getting rid of Derpy months ago... Apparently people find it offensive because they think Derpy exists as a way to make fun of the mentally challenged. I can't find anything saying it was false, but sometimes it's hard to find any useful pony-related stuff under all the fanboyism.

I've heard of rumours around Depry getting her own episode - probably from fanboys, but not getting removed off the show. It would be sad to see if she goes, but imo I wouldn't particularly care since it virtually has no effect on the show.

Yea, Derpy's a pretty minor character so it won't affect the series much. I think the reason people like her so much (aside from being funny and all) is because she was included specifically because of the fans... and has a lot of memes and fan art.

Quite worryingly though, I heard a few rumours going around that Fluttershy was going to be dropped to a more minor role in season 3, with someone from the Wonderbolts coming in to be a more direct character (or replacement ) and being involved with other mane 5. And a lot of people who heard it were actually in favor of it . I know her character development has probably been the weakest of the rest, but I would really hate it if that actually happened.

Now that's something I really wouldn't want I doubt it will go through though. Fluttershy's pretty popular, probably the most popular of the mane 6 next to Rainbow Dash, at least amongst people I know. I'd be in favour of making one of the Wonderbolts a more important character, but not putting them in the mane 6. They already have Rainbow Dash as the athletic cocky one and Apple Jack as the athletic but more modest one, no need for another...
