Isn't that more of a fighting game? But yes, mortal combat games are fun. Not to mention addicting. (Thinks to time spent in front of an arcade playing MC)

I just finished Final Fantasy V and all of its extra bits on the GBA..
it's a really great game and the new stuff they added is quite good as well - beating a room full of Omegas and beating Neo Shinryu and Omega Mk.II and the final final boss is all quite an adventure

I have just started Final Fantasy III now on the DS as well.. I don't like the 3D aspect of it, but it seems like an ok game so far

I'm playing two RPGs, Fable - The Lost Chapter and Guild Wars. Fable is a SP game, really fun and good game. And Guild Wars is a online game in the fashion of World of Warcraft.

I'm playing Neverwinter Night at the moment and don't find it overly immersive, it's a good game but nothing more, alsoit feels bit shallow and artificial. Not to say that it's bad, but there are better things out there.

I do agree with you there. Neverwinter is ok to kill time but nothing great. Although the main NWN pro is it's multiplayer (which I didn't try). Up to now the most fulfilling computer D&D experience remains BG II to me.

It has it's moments, and occasionally it manages to intrigue me, though it's often also kind of boring, or feels constructed, the world doesn't grasp me and make me forget it's just a game.

Baldur's Gate.

It was my first RPG and set such a high standard that its sequel is the only game I've found to match it (though icewind dale I has it's moments. Very short moments)

I loved Icewind Dale. I played Baldur's Gate and liked it as well. Dungeon Siege was amazing online until the cheaters and hackers dominated and took the fun out of it all.

OK, all I have to say at this point is: MASS EFFECT!

This is hands down the best video game ever created. A first/third person shooter/rpg with minimum 60+ hours to beat the basic story line. I can't stop raving about it. I don't want to give anything away, but I will warn you all, prepare your face because MASS EFFECT will rock it off.

I?ve never been too much intyo RPGs, but personally I'm quite a fan of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Majora's mask didn't fill my expectations really...

I'm just playing Dragon Warrior (Quest) IV and thought I'd post here. While these games aren't exactly very high end, I think they're fun for old school nostalgia.

Yeah, without a doubt. There was a time when in the world of videogame RPG's, Final Fantasy and Dragonquest were the only two that existed. Damn, I remember playing the first Dragonwarrior for the first time so many years ago, it was so cheesy, but so good lol.

I'm currently playing The Witcher. The game is pretty awesome, and I'm not one to give enthusiastical judgements lightly. The combat is quite spectacular, the plot, setting and characters are intriguing and mature, and the fact that you need to prepare different potions/blade coatings etc to fight different enemies adds an interesting new dimention to the game mechanics. Definately the best rpg I've played since the infinity engine days (though I didn't try oblivion, eh...)

P.S.: the game somewhat reminds me of a more serious and dark version of Fable, for those who played it. This is just a personal feeling though so don't approach this negatively if you didn't like Fable. It's absolutely worth trying.

Ocarina of Time!

I have beaten that game at least 6 times I love it so much

As for what I'm currently playing, I just recently got Pokemon Diamond. Haven't played a pokemon game since Silver, and a friend got me interested in it again and I have to say I'm loving it.

I was playing WoW, but I decided to quit after almost 3 years. I enjoyed myself and came out with some great experience in dealing with people, but I'm a big boy now and gotta start worrying about big boy things now (like trying to get money for college).

balder's gate 1 and 2 are on amazon, you can even find a pack that has BG 1&2 and their expansions all on one pc dvd for a modest price, and if you meant the dark alliance games, they're on amazon.com as well.new and used..reasonably cheap too.

and aside from those fucking cliff racers morrowind was great, shame oblivion was such a worthless piece of shit.
