Planning on getting tickets for Mayhem and Nazxul supporting, for the Sydney Metro show in May

His voice was high and whiny, just plain irritating. His microphone was also turned up way above Zakk's guitar, which didn't help.

Same, I'm thinking of getting tickets soon. I saw a flyer that said Lycanthia were also playing. They are as boring as bat shit, and Sabine is so much better than that band.

If anyone is interested, Helmet will be playing at the University Of Wollongong Unibar on May 1. I go to UOW so it's safe to say that I'll be there. Tickets are a little dear at $45. Plus it's just the main dude with a couple of younger new guys....not the whole original line-up - since that's kind of impossible now.

By the way, I just found out the full lowdown on Mayhem's Aussie tour cancellation:

"Due to the recent amendments of the entertainment visa requirements set by the Australian Immigration Department, MAYHEM will not be able to get their visas approved in time for their scheduled Australian and New Zealand tour dates. As a result, tour promoter Just Say Rock in conjunction with MAYHEM, have decided to postpone the tour to later this year.

All parties are now working on new dates for the MAYHEM tour. The new dates will be released ASAP.

Anyone who wants a refund for their current ticket can receive one by returning it to the point of sale to get the face value refunded. However, tickets will still be good for the rescheduled show."

Luckly hadn't booked anything but the gig ticket for Mayhem. Would of sucked if I had of, cheap non-fundable seats... money down the drain.

Fuck yes, heard about the Dismember tour a few days ago. I'll definitely try to get along to that one. The new self-titled album was awesome.

The Mayhem announcement was quite sudden. Had the show gone ahead in May, I would've had to give it a miss. But now that it's post-poned I might be able to come along.

Still havn't heard the new album, will before they head down. Plus, they're hitting Tassie so, huzzah.

Judas Priest, Opeth and Testament all in September.

Priest is being supported by the Cavalera bros project, which Im keen on seeing - reguardless if the project sucks. Would of seen Testament and Mortal Sin if they were closer to the Priest dates, but it's something like 16 days, which will be too pricey.

Not gonna bother with Opeth and Testament, but I will be at Judas Priest, 100% sure of that!

Oh yes, Opeth again for sure.

I wonder if they got a new backdrop for this tour and had to "whore themselves on the streets of Stockholm" again. Hah.
