PsychoStick is more like Comedy Metal..I guess you could call it a joke band

I forgot about a band, maybe better off I left them forgotten...

I hear there is a band called Cannabis Corpse which is a death metal band that sings about marijuana.
There is also Beatallica, which blends music of The Beatles with Metallica, pretty much.

Can't beat the UK for the classic comedy bands. Lawnmower Deth and Acid Reign are both amazing bands.

"Detroit Metal City" is a series of japanese animation, really funny.
And "This is Spinal Tab" is funny as hell too, definitely recommend.

Probably already mentioned, but Nanowar Of Steel is really funny. Mocking teh Power Metal Cliché.
And IMO Ultra Vomit is kinda "joke" too.
Manowar is the biggest joke band though.

Dethklok. they're the band from the cartoon Metalocalypse, but they have released 2 albums and it's actually really awesome melo/death metal...just funny lyrics

...oh yeah and Hoglan handles the drumming

I listened to one Dethklok album (the first one) and found it really bad in matters of music quality...as "joke" it may works, but nothing more

hmmm...well I liked it and the second one is better in all aspects: heavier, better production, etc

Acid Reign were never really a ''joke band'', they just had a humorous, light hearted image. Lawnmower Deth though, were a joke band, and still the best one that's ever been IMO! "Oooh Crikey...." is a classic album. haha

Alestorm is a little bit of a joke band, but still amazing non the less

For all of you that understand a few bits of German check out Knorkator and J.B.O.
Both sing German, but J.B.O. has a few English lines. They mainly do metal covers with altered texts of all kinds of mainstream songs. The humer is rather shallow but it has its moments, especially when alcohol and mindless yelling of profanities is involved. Most of the songs are pretty catchy but sadly far from innovative musically.
J.B.O. - Head Bang Boing

Knorkator's Humor is rather fucked up. 50% of their songs are centered arround shit or someone's rectum. The other half explains that their fans suck, teenagers suck and how to calculate the distance to the horizon. The third half is just plainly insane and I have no clue what the hell it is supposed to mean. The music is kind of weird(a singer that alternates between operatic vocals, rapping and screaming) but pretty sweet even if you don't understand the texts.

Six pages and no mention of Slave Whipping Blasphemy ?!?!? Sure, they might be racist as fuck, with song titles as Uncle Tom's Cabin in Flames, Trainwreck on the Underground Railroad, and Kall of Kvlt Klux Klan, but I am 99% sure they are a joke band. Besides, who in their right mind would sing about getting their whipcracks from Satan and be in the Klan, whom are usually considered to be a Christian organization? Their music is actually pretty brilliant as well, and they have some pretty good riffs, beneath the racist lyrics and kvlt production.

Another two bands that actually are bad joke bands however, are Satanic Destroyer and Drown in Solitude. Though, Satanic Destroyer is hardly metal, and only utilizes drums in one song in the one demo, Matt Dorr (the creator of this abomination) has a song in his demo called True BM. Think retarded looking corpsepaint from a 15 year old kvlt kiddie, strumming three notes of an untuned guitar that he got a full 15 minutes ago, cliche lyrical content, off beat knocking on a desk (with a METRONOME) in the background, a ringing telephone, playing in an unblack metal band, and writing an emo love song as a single, and you have Satanic Destroyer. Drown in Solitude is a DSBM band from Mexico, and the vocalist of this one man band has created a new metal subgenre, elephant metal.

I am in a joke band called Gefilte Fist and we have 1087 "songs" available on our site. Most of you will probably hate it but you might find it funny.

I saw "Dethklok" live and I thought it was awesome. I guess you would say they are a joke band... I mean they are a cartoon after all. non the less still awesome \m/

My favorite joke band would most certainly be "Metallica" ...

nah, metallica ain't my favorite joke band.. on a more serious note, i prefer "crotchduster"
