Tulkas, not only because he's teh only colombian who still posts regularly, but because he's really funny and we can talk about pretty much anything. Mayeb one day we can hang out in Bogota or maybe go to a concert together.

I actually haven't thought about these things. I couldn't really name 'my friends' but I would like to say that people on MS are very helpful, interesting, funny and nice in general, and the only person who can easily get on others' nerves is just me. I think I've been here active for about a year or even less and I feel pretty good on here.

I am very open minded, thanx for noticing that. I think closed mindedness is a sign of lack of knowledge, and not wanting to think outside of the box. Which I find quite sad, really...

I was told this a few months ago and I tried to do it, and now do it and it has helped: "When someone gives you a compliment just accept it no matter whether you think it is true or not".

I've had self esteem issues for a few years now, I've never been one to love myself but I was very confident before. I, like you, always thanked compliments but then contradicted them. It's all about self esteem, you don't believe in yourself so why would others? By simply accepting compliments, it really does help feel more confident about oneself. I back MetallicA one this one, you do seem like a cool person. You are bubbly, friendly and open minded. And you can even add funny to that list because you have made me smile on more than one occasion.

I've always had a habit of shrugging off, or disregarding compliments given to me. I've never been confident, always been shy, and never had self esteem. The funny thing is, usually when people say nice things about me, deep down I know those things are true. But it's like I have an inbuilt mechanism that finds it hard to accept compliments being paid to me. I think because my looks is the one thing about myself I've always hated, and it's the one thing I've never had any nice comments on, my issues over that have somehow seeped into how myself as a person too. Maybe I will start trying to accept compliments given to me. Like I say, deep down, I do know what people are saying is right. Just a part of me finds it hard to compute it.

You're one of the main reasons I've settled here, and felt at home so quickly. So thanx a lot for that.
