Yay, global warming. The theory is in itself even more futile than our last conversation

how is global warming futile? it's something quite important and concerns all of us.

Well, when I hear two or more scientists who can say the same thing about it, then I'll believe in it. Well, I mean I believe global warming is real, I just don't believe it is as extreme as they say it is.

In a literal sense of course it isn't. But scientists are long term thinkers, and in the long term, it is a very real problem. By the way, that's 'long term' in an immortal frame of mind

But can't we just do what every other generation ever has done and say "Fuck it, someone else can deal with it."

Could do, but there's no point being ignorant about these kinda things generally. Ignorance is for the stupid. It's not like you have to be some ridiculous advocate of 'pro green' ideals doing things like recycling regularly, paying attention to turning your lights off and turning the tap off when brushing your teeth etc. I myself litter, rarely recycle and constantly have electricity flowing, my carbon footprint is absolutely huge [there is a site you can check this on, can't remember it though], but I'm still aware of the problems and don't act like what I'm doing is beneficial for anyone...I just don't care. Because I'm a badass

i'd say Latvia is too far north for winters to have a normal duration. this is what usually should happen in Romania 3 clearly defined months for each seasons, but in the past few years the winters have been quite long and cold as fuck.

Well, the winter here has expended in the last few years. I don't know how it was 20 years ago but when I was little, winters weren't as cold nor last as long as now. And I don't mind heavy snowing which is why I kinda feel sorry for those parts in Europe that get only rain in winters. I mean, that can't feel right. XD But yeah, if winter was exactly three months long and November wasn't such a boring month (cold weather + rain), it'd be great.

in las palmas there's not even that much rain during winter. on St. Nicholas' day and on the 6th of February i went to the beach without sunscreen and almost got sunburned though the water in February was way too cold to bathe in(but it was very clean at least). there are pretty much only 2 seasons there: May and June.

but then again geographically those islands ARE part of Africa.

That water probably wasn't colder than +18*C... XD Well, anyway, even if you would have gotten sunburned, you got lots of sun (and warm weather) and because of that I can only envy you. On the other hand, having two months (and only one season) seems to be quite boring. People have to miss things - like I miss summer now, I'll miss winter when it's summer... and we here kinda like to miss these things.

yeah i know how that feels, but then again i also remember when my only choice to cool off during an extremely hot day was to wear a shirt directly out of the washing machine. that's 35 degrees.

anyway the secret to being awesome year-round is to not give a fuck, at all.

35 degrees? here in summer some days reach 45 degrees and more. one day the temperature was about 48 degrees and I poured a filled pitcher on myself! a few minutes later, I was completely dry

You live in the mountains, the air there is different and that's why you can handle well (at least better) such temperatures. A friend of mine who went to Georgia in order to visit his relatives said he played football when it was +40 outside and he didn't feel like dying nor he sweat as much as he would if he was in Latvia and it was +27 degrees hot, not to mention +33 when all we wanna do is to find a huge fridge... we probably wouldn't survive +40.

Ah... Southern hemisphere, I love winter in july and summer in december. Makes more sense than the other half cocked countries.

As for seasons and weather in Bulgaria, they've all pretty much mixed up, as well. Last year, for instance, it was cold at Sonisphere which was held in the middle of June.

Yeah, I do think so. Summer at the end of the year makes more sense than winter at the end of the year to me. Just seems more practical.

The year obviously didn't end in June.

My sister came home last night and said she heard it's going to snow in July. I wonder where she gets this stuff.

here in February and March the weather was as hot as hell ! there was not even a drop of rain or a bit snowfall! WoW!

You could do somthing crazily cliche'd, like have a party. Or you could turn your house into a water park and charge 10 bucks a head. AND in keeping with the metal tradition, you could call it blackwater park...

Actually, I allready came up with a plan. Nothing tonight, maybe hang out with my brothers friends while they get high. But tommorow, I'm gonna go downtown to some random punk show from some band I don't give a fuck about just for the sake of getting out. Of course, the water park is also a good idea- I have a swimming pool and a crappy slide.
