The original is a deathcore classic, but I think I actually prefer this version. They really outdid themselves and it was great to see they could still do it.

This is so unbelievably good that it has me flabbergasted. The mixing is phenomenal and Sykes still sounds as good as he did 20 years ago.

I’m not even kidding, this might be 10 worthy.

I tried not to get carried away with this whole re-recorded thing at first... Turns out I should've gotten carried away immediately. This is HUGE. Maybe Count Your Blessings wasn't even BMTH's strongest record in my book to begin with, maybe, but after this, it absolutely is. YUGE. I look forward to pretending I always felt this way.

The original album is one of my favorite albums of all time and Liquor & Love Lost (now called Dragon Slaying) is in my top 5 of my favorite songs of all time.

This album definitely deserved to get some fresh attention but I gotta say I far prefer the older version. Maybe it's because I've been listening to this album at least yearly since it came out (so for 20 years) so I'm just too much used to the older version but to me the original "rough" sound absolutely adds to the aggressive and kinda nasty atmosphere that this whole album exudes.

There are also multiple parts where the guitar sounded more muddled to me and certain details that were in the original get lost in this new production making this version objectively less rich in details. Many of the riffs (e.g. in Black & Blue) even have straight up different notes that sound way less melodic to me. The solo in Dragon Slaying has also been absolutely massacred compared to the original.

I'm not mad that this exists and I hope some new people will find out what a masterpiece this album has always been due to this release but the original is perfect enough that it simply didn't need any improvement whatsoever.

Well, regardless of what an absolute banger Repented is, I'm still not emotionally ready to start throwing around words like "genius" or "masterpiece" when talking about BMTH.

What actually excites me more is that, after 20 years of deathcore evolving in every conceivable direction, it's still that filthy, chaotic OG MySpace-era sound that slaps the hardest.

Can anyone change the style to deathcore? That's ridiculous to see electronic and alternative rock

I did NOT expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Shame about the rest of their discography and their cringy attitude in their live shows, these guys trapped lightning in a bottle here.

I cannot believe that Bring Me The Horizon, kings of mid-00s myspace mallcore, just released one of the best deathcore albums this year. These guys just guested on a Lil Uzi Vert album for chrissake.

I fucking knew that putting my stocks on this album was a good idea. In a few days I'm gonna get my pre-order of the deluxe vinyl and deluxe CD of this. I'm gonna play it WICKED loud.

I don't want to spoil the fun, but as a first time listener, this album was quite boring... Lot's of cool riffs but no cohesive/memorable songs. Am I missing something?

This was always an excellent album. Whilst the new version has more fidelity, it doesn't make it a 'better' album. I prefer the original recording.

Not a big fan of BMTH as much as I was in Suicide Silence( for context - I was introduced on MS as a big SS kid adoring Mitch Lucker back then, but that wasn’t the case to begin with) and I’ve hardly connected with BMTH records, but this genuinely whacks fucking hard —especially breakdowns. After a long time, it gave me the rush of intensive cohesive deathcore album.
