Children Of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet?

I agree that something wild is one of the best metal albums of all time and the "Are u dead yet" album is nothing near it but it's still an album I love! I think it's very good!

It is a very average album. What makes it a giant piece of shit is the fact that Children of Bodom, the band that gave us Follow the Reaper and Hatebreeder, made it. I think it is fair to state that it is to CoB what the black album is to Metallica. The biggest difference is that CoB, in their prime, would play circles around Metallica in its prime.

Although, a decent album, they should really go back to how they sound on "Hatebreeder" & "Follow the Reaper".

I do like this album, probably because I listen to it without comparing it with previous CoB albums... In itself, this is a very catchy and technical album, even though it's much too short.

Lol..people don't like but this stuff is one of my fav albums..
Alexi's vocal is better and overall album sound is good

I thought it was an awesome album not my favorite by them but still really good

The album is good but not great. Stand out tracks on the album were Bastards of Bodom, Are You Dead Yet?, Living Dead Beat and In Your Face

it has its moments, but overall its extremely dumbed down compared to their previous releases. like really dumbed down. not only that but some of the riffs and melodies are just not aesthetically pleasing, for example: the entire title track.
i like maybe 3/4 of the songs, but even then i dont like those songs as much as i like their old stuff.

Every song on this album feels like it could/should be a bonus track on a special edition of HCDR, rather than being worthy of a commercial release.

That bad, eh? I remember liking this when I was about 13 or 14 but I think you harbor a lot more resentment towards the band than I do. I used to really despise their work but now I just look at it as kind of teeny-MTV kind of metal and I don't judge it so harshly as a result. These kinds of albums are good for helping younger generations get into more extreme forms of metal.

It's more like children's program for me really. They work very good with eachother but this sounds awful, IN YOUR FACE

I don't know why so many people hate this album. I heard it recently after enjoying also the previous ones and I fount it very powerful and fast, maybe the melody is somehow lost, but nothing to worry about. I think the hate towards CoB is a little unjustified.

Not enough Children of Bodom in general.

Funny, I don't like this album, but "In Your Face" is my favorite cob track.

It seems that most of the old COB fans find this album as a huge decline and betrayal of some ideals or whatever, for me as a primary progressive/symphonic metal fan whos most favorite band is Pink Floyd, this is actually the only really good album of COB while the adored first albums are total shit. Different taste I guess.
