Well, I am a new fan of Eternal Sears Of Sorrow. Some months ago I listened to A Virgin And A Whore for the first time and I really liked how they have produced their music. Aside all this, they sound somewhat similar to Kalmah, although Eternal Sears Of Sorrow is slightly softer and smoother. Actually, Finnish bands are always the greatest symbols of extreme power metal.

Sick, Dirty And Mean is the best song in this album

It's a great song, but you know it's actually an Accept cover? (from Objection Overruled, 1993)...

Well, Accept is a great band. Nevertheless, I daresay you will like the cover much better (if you are more into extreme power rather than old-school heavy metal...) Besides, Udo Dirkschneider (Accept's vocalist back then) has a really unique voice - may take some time before it grows on you... But you really SHOULD give it a listen, the voice DOES grow on most people after some time...

When I listened to this for the first time, I didn't find it anything special.
But it has really grown on me! I'm so impressed now!
My favorites are Prophetian, Blood of Hatred, Aurora Borealis, and The Last One For Life.

I just cannot stand behind this album. Keyboards and Antti Kokko's guitar makes this sound so much Kalmah....

There is nothing Kalmah into this, Kalmah keys are same, here each song is different

Been listening to this one heavily in my playlist as of late. It's a stunning album. The blend of keys and riffs just hits home for me. Special mentions for Heart of Wilderness and Blood of Hatred: melodic death metal done right.

Nothing special for me: a kind of Nightwish clone with growl vocals.

Really? Never liked Nightwish, but I rated this 9/10, which is very scarce and precious valuation in my book. On the other hand, I have to confess that I haven't listened to the complete album in years, so I guess it's time for a reevaluation.

I just hope that it didn't age like milk...

I'd say this is closer to Kalmah than Nightwish, and Kalmah is awesome. No wonder, since so many guys here also played in Kalmah.

Man I love those cheesy 8-bit keys in Aurora Borealis! Glad to see this album aged quite well, despite this genre not being my cup of tea anymore.

The first and last tracks on this album are fantastic. If I could find sheet music for them I would enjoy learning the piano parts.

8.9/10 for me (excluding track 7 because I don't like covers ).

I've almost completely forgotten about this band... I must have never listened to it since the old days when I still couldn't stand 90% music with any growls, but, just looking at the list of albums, still had no trouble remembering which one I should start with to reacquaint. Aurora Borealis, Prophetian, The River Flows Frozen, Aeon were the ones I instantly recalled as soon as they started playing (and I thought I only liked 1 or 2 tracks). But the whole tracklist is so damn good.
