Avantasia - Angel Of Babylon

My edit for the tracklist as still not gone through. Now people are looking at a false tracklist. =/

I didnt think much to the album at first, but it has grown on me with repeated plays. Its still the weaker of the two new albums, and ''Symphony Of Life" is awful, but there is some good stuff on it. Like the awesome power metal epic "Stargazers" and the creepy "Death Is Just A Feeling". I'll definitely be getting the two albums in the boxset on Monday! xD

She has done a lot of backing vocals before. I think she was doing backing on The Scarecrow too.

Well, I've never been a fan of Edguy, and honestly, I don't find anything special in Sammet's voice either. The 2 Metal Opera albums were really good, though.
However, it seems like he had his strength and power in his hair just like Samuel in the Bible: eversince it was cut, he sounds like Bon Jovi...

Has a lot of good songs, but also a lot of forgettable ones. I definitely feel that theres some kind of intelligent song writing and that the music is for the most part a great homage to arena metal of the 19080's. Theres just something missing to this album though which I just cant put my finger on that just makes it uninteresting. On paper it should work but in reality it didn't pen out to well. Although "Wicked Symphony" didn't have anything memorable, the album was consistently good (yet strangely forgettable). The similarly the same affects this album, except the quality isn't quite as consistent. If I was to rate this one, it would be a 7.2/10

Am I the only Power fanboy who this does nothing for?

Meh, I expected more from this album when i went to pick this up. This album had some moments I thought were pretty cheesy and awkward, especially the intro to "Death is A Feeling", and the attempt at gothic metal with "Symphony of Life". The only song I really enjoyed was the title track. That's just how I felt about the album personally. Oh well, I was never the biggest power metal fan anyway, the only band from this genre that I absolutely adore is the great Blind Guardian.

Well, this one is the weakest of their discography, but not by this reason a bad album. Songs like Stargazers, the homonymous one, Death Is Just A Feeling, Rat Race, Promised Land & Alone I Remember makes me enjoy this one.

The title track's a masterpiece, but it seriously loses its way between Down in the Dark and Alone I Remember. Not sure what Cloudy Yang's done to merit being involved with this project - is she the secret Mrs. Sammet?

Downfall of the band, Stargazer was good opener, rest album is weak, more to adult oranated, music then song Symphony Of Life stands out whit totally different concept

Pretty good. Not as good as either of the other Wicked Trilogy, but damn close. Definitely a grower.

"Death Is Just A Feeling" is so awful it's almost funny. They executed the disney-villain style better on Ghostlights with "The Haunting" which is a song with a genuine eerie and dark vibe.
