Additional info
Considered one of the first albums to break heavy metal into the general mainstream with the #1 hit "Cum On Feel The Noize".

The song "Metal Health" is the opening song of the 2008 movie The Wrestler staring Mickey Rourke.

Besides the regular black vinyl it was also released as a picture disc.

Quiet Riot's Metal Health bears the significant distinction of being the very first heavy metal album to reach the coveted #1 spot on the U.S. Billboard Top 200. This is no small feat, especially given that 1983 also saw the release of Iron Maiden's Piece Of Mind, Dio's Holy Diver, Metallica's Kill 'Em All, Accept's Balls To The Wall, and so many other classic albums that have held up infinitely better over the years; it is a rather puzzling circumstance. Certainly any of the aforementioned albums are deserving of this honor. Metal Health sounds perfectly average. That is all Quiet Riot ever really was; an everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill 1980s glam band with more hair than heaviness.

One of the best glam metal albums in my opinion. Much better than Stay Hungry or Shout At The Devil.

Probably one of the strongest one-two punch openings of any classic glam album, the rest doesn't really live up to the strength of Metal Health and the Slade cover, but it does enough to ride out the momentum and be a fun listen the whole way through.

I agree that the first two songs are by far the strongest, but what follows isn't bad either, there's plenty of headbanger's for sure

For me Quiet Riot's version of Cum On the Feel the Noise was utterly pointless and vastly inferior to Slade's classic original.

I thought the same when Oasis recorded it again in the 90's and I loved Oasis.
