The 3rd and The Mortal's debut album, Tears Laid In Earth, is one of most underrated albums in metal history. Not only because it influenced a lot of metal bands back then, but also because of it's unique and original sound, songwriting quality, the sweet melancholic atmosphere and the inspiring voice of Kari Rueslåtten. It isn't that kind of music you can listen to any time. It requires attention to every detail, and the reward is granted; a journey to the deepest and the darkest emotions you ever had, and this album makes it easier and more meaningful.

This is beautiful, it wrote history in gothic metal and generaly female frontend metal scene, but after listenbing it something 's wrong ... seems Kari was simply singer, nit metalhead, this was problem, because I miss such passion what I can see in other bands, seems she simply singer profesionaly not because she loves metal but because she loves singinfg, i she would love metal she would stay...
Musicaly its good I like some songs in norvegian, pretty good, slow, moarnful album, atmosfere is good, realy briliant mastepiece whit BIG minus it neverb would reach max grade, but its perfect, it was written in write time and it changed history, it never will get old, borimg and never will be delite, its liie rune stones whit glorius warrior names, still stand stoen dead forever

Very overlooked doom masterpiece.
Only really good album by this band, though.
Highlights: Why so lonely, Death hymn, and of course the outstanding Atupoéma

Vandring is indeed beautiful, too.
I also consider the debut an excellent doom metal EP.
Everything after these two albums is not bad at all IMO, has their moments.
But it can be a bit hard to digest, or better to follow all through, if your first album by this band was TLIE or the debut.
