Dopestars Inc., for all of you that wonder, is a band that moves in guitar-driven EBM/Industrial electro soundscapes that have everything it takes to pave the way for a successful future in the world of music, offering songs that have the power to fill the dance floors of the Central Europe without any second thought.
Well, "://Neuromance" is the title of their debut album and it consists of three sound areas, offering variety to the audience without tending though to sound something not good simply because these three sound areas manage to harmonize together in a wonderful way.
The first sound area is "Code Capricorn: Rise Of The Machines" where lie the more mainstream EBM-oriented compositions, with the guitars adding a more rolling and heavier aesthetic to them. Songs like the roll n' electrocute "10000 Watts", "Infection 13" and "Vyperpunk" and the more emotionally charged ones like the fabulous "Generation Plastic", the melodic "Platinum Girl" and the fragile "Make A Star" will make you lose yourself in a universe of pleasant melodies that won't disappoint you at all!
The second sound area is "Code Saturn: Ultraviolent E-volution" and I think the title says it all, here lie the more upbeat and dynamic compositions of the album, the more industrial-oriented ones with utterly heavy and inspired guitar riffing, FX and more intense vocals. The most representative composition of this are has to be without any second thought the dynamite named "Theta Titanium" in which the sounds of the heavy industry and the powerful guitars will lead you to endless headbanging or intense dance, it's your choice! But of course I couldn't forget the utterly groovy "Self Destructive Corp." and the dynamic in a twisted way "Plug N' Die"!
The third and last sound area is "Code Cancer: Epicentre Gigahertz" in which Dopestars Inc. harmonize the heaviness and imposing feeling of the second area with the danceable feeling of the first one with songs like "Defcon 5" and "Trance-Former"!
The participation of John Fryer and Thomas Rainer was very promising and the outcome in the production sector is definitely impressive making the already wonderful compositions sound even better, more powerful or more melodic and danceable according to the moment. The limited edition is in the shape of a big digipack with a second CD as well in which you will find remixes and versions of other well-known and not acts but also covers on H.I.M.'s "Right Here In My Arms" and London After Midnight's "Kiss" as well as a song coming from the sold-out demo period of the band, "I'm Overdriven". One request, don't forget to listen to the cover version of Sidearctica on Dopestars Inc.'s "Make A Star", it's a miracle!
If you want to listen to danceable/melodic heavily guitar-driven EBM/Industrial with its more upbeat passages with the guitars bringing forth memories from the dirty past of the legendary glam/sleaze rockers Motley Crue and vocals that vary from clean and melodic to "dirtier" and more intense interpreting passages then Dopestars Inc. is a band for you!
