Indeed, your face, my fist. Top-notch old school Swedish death metal. Sandström's a beast on the guitar - it's too bad he couldn't replicate this with his other various... projects.

This album sounds sloppy as hell because of the massive guitar distortion but somehow this only adds to the awesomeness of this record, Another Swedish gem.

Crushing,absolutely crushing!Still as awesome now as 20 years ago when it came out.One of the heaviest albums ever,and man does it rock,along with 'Left hand Path' ,they are 2 of the best ever deathmetal albums!

Wow, this is really boring.

Never actually given this band a chance before, strange since I've always heard about them. Now I've listened to a few of their albums properly I can say this and the sophomore effort is probably the best representation of what Grave did for the OSDM scene, even if it's nothing special in comparison to the scene's more interesting groups. This debut is mostly solid, menacing and belligerent, though the mid-section of the album for me seems to fall flat a little. Nonetheless, songs like "Deformed", "In Love" and "Haunted" are really well developed.

Killer album.

I dont really get the love either. From what I've heard every other OSDM band does it somehow better than these guys.

I guess they've been around a long time and are relatively consistent so they probably gather fans over time.

I was expecting something a lot better. it's really repetitive, though. I don't get the hype over this band. It's not as horrible as some other OSDM bands. the vocals sound like if Wrest did death metal lol

I guess if a band does something ok for a long, long time eventually they get a fanbase!

yup. Another OSDM kind of like that is Obituary, but I'd rather listen to this than obituary

You know what I recently re-listened to that's waaaaaay better?

Grave like Unleashed are boring as hell. Back when they started and still to this day and age.

I have never understood why people love Unleashed so much, they are so boring.

Incredibly boring, Unleashed's debut is much better.

That's not saying anything considering that album is even worse than this one.

Fantastic, easily one of the most enjoyable Swedish Death Metal albums I've ever heard.

I can't get over the super crushing tone on this beast, it's one of the heaviest and best sounding death metal albums of that era I'd say, along with Entombed and Dismember. The Swedish death metal scene just has something about it back then, OSDM seems to have lost it's spark now, it somehow sounded alot meatier and dirtier than now.

Never connected. I had spun first 3 albums rigorously, but never felt once it defined the "classic moments" from their sound. I guess other death metal bands(from the era) were doing brilliantly.
