I think it's pretty nice that they got nominated. I always respected them as a band and for their history.

This must be due to all the touring the did in the US. Good luck to them, i doubt they will win, but its definately good exposure for them into the western music scene.

Terrible band.

I know enough about X Japan to say that they aren't terrible. But I think that the Golden God awards are a complete joke. No band nominated deserves any kind of recognition. All except for a few of the international band nominees.

Some of the nominees are just plain bad

Dahlia is a masterpiece, and I'll always appreciate the early albums. Any news on the new album?

The only japanese bands I know of (then) are X-japan, Sigh (who'm I'd forgotten about when I posted), Versailes, Blood Stain Child and Gallhammer. Except for the two black bands, they're pics here all ahve an abundance of makeup and lace.
And Risa Reaper's not ugly.
