I like King Diamond, but i find this to be his most outstandingly disappointing release. It's just so bland and uninteresting, and whilst the music itself is decent, the vocals just fail to deliver as on earlier albums. As well as that, from the title track onwards, it ultimately drags on and on. That's just my opinion however.

Don't be afraid to say an album sucks!! I am with you on this prolly more so! I stopped buying any King Diamond after "The Eye". Writing was on the wall that King's story telling had long reached its peak . With every release after "The Eye" it basically was one looong same sounding songs. This is album is easily bottom feeder.

Wasn't bad at all. Wasn't King Diamond's best work, but it was still enjoyable.

A album I've never warmed up to, and today it seems even the songs I liked before doesn't hit me as they used to. The intro to Voodoo and that crazy solo part with Dimebag is pretty damn cool. One Down Two to Go is maybe my favourite song here. Also have to mention that the cover art is stunning.

My first King Diamond album my friend bought caseate in 1998 or 1999 , I remember it was rainy autumn before snow came , it was wow something different what we did listen to at those days. Now I dont know, it its just album. I know later in age 19 I tried get into King Diamond and Mercyful Fate I could now. Then other friend said try his later albums they are better, he dont scream like teenage girl, and he was right.
This is good album, but it has no any sentimental value to me after so many damn years.

Again the sound takes some time getting used to.
I wouldn´t put it in the lower KD favorite list, but it´s also far away from the top.

Faves: "LOA" House, A Secret (Best on record), Salem, One Down Two To Go and Cross Of Baron Samedi
