The Ruins Of Beverast - New Song, Album Artwork Revealed

After the streaming of "Malefica" back in April, and some vague details from Ván Records, things are starting to come together more clearly regarding the release of the new The Ruins Of Beverast album. Alexander Von Meilenwald's blackened doom project is currently streaming yet another song from the upcoming Blood Vaults - The Blazing Gospel Of Heinrich Kramer, titled "Ordeal," which can be listened below in the YouTube video.

As Ván Records notes in the video description, Blood Vaults is set for an official release date sometime in September, and "is meant as a single huge audio opus consisting of 3 parts and divided into a total of 9 songs with a running time of over 78 minutes." The album will be Meilenwald's first release in four years, coming after 2009's highly acclaimed Foulest Semen Of A Sheltered Elite.

In addition, the album artwork for Blood Vaults, featured on both the "Malefica" and "Ordeal" videos, may be seen below the video.

It sounds damn good, "Foulest Semen..." was remarkable, but after listening to "Malefica" and this, I think this may become his best release to date, I hope I'm not mistaken.

I hope this is an indication that the album will be a bit more oriented toward black metal once again. Great track.

Wasn't the previous track hella doomy though?

It was, but the track he released for the previous album, the really doomy one, was the only proper black metal track on the album. I'm kinda hoping the fact he released a doomy one means the album will be more black </some kind of weird logic>

Seems we have different desires, I'm personally hoping it continues in the direction of Foulest
Either way, it's probably gonna be an excellent release. Meilenwald doesn't really come across as the type of person to do something more than once with his albums.

I'd prefer a mix of the two with just a bit more black than doom though.
