Amoral - Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows

Sounds like this one warrants giving a fair chance, even though Ari's vocals aren't down my alley. This will be a concept album.

So far it has a pretty nice tone to it. Not gonna rate it just yet, because the fear I have when looking at some of the song lengths is that the principle sin will be overindulgence.

Actually, it's quite a decent album, Ari's vocals aren't so distracting as at previous albums, and there're even a few well executed instrumental parts. Much, much better than previous two albums.

Its enjoyable and I hope they stay on this sound.

So agree with you. The riffs are pretty nice sounding, but those cleans just made me throw this one down the garbage. One spin is enough for me. His harsh vocals aren't that good either. Pretty amateurish.

His singing is technically effortless, powerful and on key. You're entitled to your opinion that the vocals suck, but that just sounds ignorant.

I have no problem being called ignorant by someone who considers the vocals on this album to be "powerful".

Talk about surprise. The singer is absolutely horrible, but musically this is actually pretty good.
